Dimensions of a 68 Sweptline W200 Crew Cab

Post by wdebutts »

I am hoping someone can send me the dimensions of a 1968 Sweptline W200 Crew Cab? Length and width and possibly bed size? I need ASAP as just purchased and am trying to truck one from Colorado to GA and the trucking Co. needs specifics (before head out to get on Monday)...or will not send truck. Thanks!!

I searched the year and model on this sight, seems to be 160". Went out and measured my 67 w-200, measures 60" wide centerline wheel to wheel. Hope that helps, Merry Christmas

The front bumper is 78.5" wide. The only things that might be wider would be the mirrors, if equipped, and possibly the door handles. The wheelbase will be 146" or 160" depending if the bed is short or not. A regular cab short bed without a rear bumper is around 192" and a wheelbase of 114". A regular cab long bed is around 210" long without a rear bumper and a wheelbase of 128", so a crew cab appears to be 32" longer. That would be a length of 224" or 242" without a rear bumper.

Is this a typo? I would think it would be longer with the bumper.

I don't understand the question. I've never actually measured a crew cab and don't have any dimensions in any literature. I deduced that a crew cab is 32" longer than a regular cab truck. I had measured my former 68 D100 long bed truck without a rear bumper and added 32" to my result. Since the buyer did not mention whether they have a long or short bed truck, I gave the measurements for both. I suspect they have a short bed truck, so that would be around 224" in length.

I would volunteer to measure mine except it might not be of much use. No frame, cab but that's all taken apart. Let me know

Everything, they are factory blueprints of the entire truck. There are a couple of examples of them on the site.
Frame dimensions, cab and body, fenders, interior, engine, tranny, transfer case...........
