The resurrection continues.
Got a new seat base cushion assembly.
Was given, if measured like fabric, 52 YARDS of stainless steel. Sheet, tube stock, round stock, bull nose edging...
Color change tested via spray cans, and approved. It’s her truck too.
LED conversion parts purchased for every light except headlights. Can’t find a good price for dot legal that look like normal headlights.
Bed storage boxes located, resealed, ready to refinish. WW2 naval tool cases, belonged to wife’s grandfather, a hardcore Mopar fanatic. Our 1949 truck will also use smaller chests.
LRE wheels sanded, etch primed, blacked out. New bumpers located, will also be blacked out. West Coast Jr mirrors cleaned up and getting reinstalled.
Cab rot and tailgate damages being fixed by a certified welder. Who is also working on my tube grill conversion.
Underhood progressing nicely. Disc swap underway. Suspension getting rebuilt, all Energy Suspension bushings. Rear axle, driveshaft and transmission are good to go. New tires next month, LT31-10.50-15 equivalent high traction street tread.
A little every day. If I try to get it done in a rush, I will burn out again. Should be ready for Trunk or Treat this year, even if I have to dolly it over there. Have not started the rewiring, so it does not currently run.

Gonna run double brake/run lights. High mount vertical, low mount horizontal.
Can’t find cab running lights, or a lightbar I like.
Will it look a bit odd? Yep
Does that bother me? Nope
Still have to get a headache rack. Just in case a winch cable lets go. Dual cable trawler winch... in the truck bed.

Yep... 1940s vintage steel scaffolding sections... probably make a tailgate out of one as well. Came from my wife’s grandfather, been in the barn since 1964.

Re: Moving right along on it
My mirrors are seized up. Stored in a shed, and still got destroyed. I guess its “Dumbo ears” will not be going back on. Only have 9 or so holes per door to weld up...
Gonna cut the braces down smaller, see it I can get the west coasts sitting better. Can’t hurt to try, and if it doesn’t work, someone can likely reuse the mirror heads.

Key switch works, starter relay works. Starter bendix drive is stuck.
Found an odd set of old mirrors that she hates, so, I’m going to use them...
Still can’t find a local machinist that will touch turning the front hubs down. “Those are too hard to replace if they get messed up”... Have some pride in your shop guys. It’s just metal, work slow, test fit often.
Been invited to a local show that wants me to bring 4 trucks and 4 motorcycles. Running or not... yikes... The dirt track push truck can’t haul 3 other full sized trucks behind it, only a 1/2 ton. The 2 tonner won’t start, isn’t street legal anyway. No lights...

Re: Moving right along on it
Well, the west coast jr mirrors are in the scrap pile. So are 2 brand new towing mirrors. No way to make them sit level.
Picked up a 3rd Drifter motorcycle last week. Making a run to NE GA Thursday for another one.
Looking into possibly buying an old resort/campground in the Smokies.
We went from 95 degrees and high humidity to winter in under 8 hours this past weekend. Kinda tricky to finish bodywork and/or paint right now. Have to refinish 4 trucks and 2 motorcycles, working on Lisa’s car projects as well.
Too many irons in the fire.
