Nautilus Marine Battery

Maybe this is an all time record:

I have a river boat in Alaska. Bought it from a buddy in 2001 with a Nautilus Battery that was several yrs old. I run the boat a few weeks every summer, sometimes a couple weeks in the fall, then pull it out and leave it outside on the trailer at my cabin. It sits 9-10 months thru the Alaska winter until I return the next yr. Every yr I put the key in and the battery starts the boat.
I didn't go in 2016, but did last week for 3 days. The boat has sat for TWO YEARS, two winters, battery is now TWENTY+ YRS OLD and it started the boat without being recharged! I have tracked temps as low as 55 degrees below zero some winters and it has never lost its charge!
The only person complaining is the local battery dealer who isn't selling me new ones!

That battery probably only cost about $49 back then too! Now that you've talked about the battery, better start saving $$ for a new one next year

I bought a Canadian Tire lifetime Free Replacement for as long as you own the vehicle battery for my 66 Dodge W100 way back in 1986/87. Think it cost around $100 back then. Good thing its in my 66 as its not a daily driver. Think its been replaced 10 times under warranty in that time. Shortest time in use before replacement was 9 months.

The battery in my truck is a Mopar battery I purchased for just under 100 bucks many years ago. My truck sits for months, sometimes 6 months at a time and it always cranks right up, well, once the fuel gets going anyway. I think Interstate makes the Mopar batteries. It's been a good one for sure. I think my battery is around 10 years old now, I'd bet the receipt is in the glove box.
