AM Radios... how much?
AM Radios... how much?
Think I found a decent one but no idea what to offer...
I'm sure I'll have to track down a few more things to get it all working
correctly so I don't want to over pay for just the radio.
So, what did you pay? or what are you selling one for?
Thanks

Depending on condition $80-$150? I read on this site elsewhere that some Ford radios were very similar. But I'd like to know what models had similarly-sized radios? I'm guessing Dart?

What yr? 61-68 is different than 69-71.
Re: AM Radios... how much?
You'll need to drill 3 large holes in that dash.
I'm not sure how the capacitors/resistors will be
in a 50+ year old radio. You might need to replace
some parts in it...

To me that dash looks great w/o a radio.

Yes - I would strongly urge you to put your radio in your glove compartment or under the dash. That dash is just too nice. One of those cool old 'pull out' picnic radios would be sweet!

Re: AM Radios... how much?
I hadn't really considered that... until right now. I do like the way the dash looks....
I was thinking about having the radio refurbed like this in the link blow. hide a couple of speakers
under the dash and a self powered sub under the bench. modern set up that looks stock. but hiding
a complete system could work just as well and probably cost less. and I get to leave the dash as it
looks now, hmmmm.

Good eye Terry ....that's a blank from a '67 with a dash pad.....did not want to mess up the original ash tray lid when I added the tach.Txas2step wrote:Radio below on my '61 uncut dash.

Re: AM Radios... how much?
One of the previous owners didn't take that care when they hacked an oil pressure gauge into my 63's ash tray lid. It wouldn't be a huge deal if you could easily see it while you were driving... At least they didn't cut the dash.Txas2step wrote:
