Worth a 24 hour drive?

A good buddy just texted me the following pics and said come get one of these trucks. He is in the mountains of New Mexico and I live in SE Michigan. I drive a 12 valve and have access to a trailer, but man these trucks look like a ton of work. 3200 miles round trip. My uncle runs a small two bay garage and we've been looking for a project. These trucks are hard to find in Michigan.
He knows nothing about the trucks but says he can get titles. $400 in diesel to get one home.
Any thoughts?
Thanks, T4

i really like the looks of the earlier one too
but i'd be pretty scared of what the sheet metal looks like where it was sitting under ground..
i know new mexico is dry, but how dry could it be where all that nice green grass is growing >?

I wouldn't do it, but I would send me the address and I'll go get them
. The turquoise one looks sweet, but being buried would worry me..

Distance is sometimes the biggest deterrent. Size comes next. I deal in D/W 500/600/800 trucks. They are a headache to transport no matter how short the trek.

The other one is probably in better condition. Notice the cowl rust and the huge gap between cab height and bed height on the turquoise truck.
