A D200 crew cab sweptline just sold for 117 grand at the auction. I was a sweet custom.

Nice truck, wonder why it was listed as a 1969 model?

I wondered that as well seeing it looked like a 64.

The VIN is for a 68 W200. In the link posted above it says it's a 69 crew cab with a 62 front and bed. It was probably a 68 that sold new in 69 so that is what the title says.

Well, I guess if I had paid more attention to the description I would have known that. Lol.

Guess that makes the ones left that much more UN-affordable, since sellers will see that and lose their minds in pricing.

If you really look at what has been done to this truck and realise that it was done by a shop I'm guessing the owner probably didn't make any money on it. Custom chassis, big money interior, ton of paint/ body work. I bet it cost him that much to build it..

Not that I would ever ever ever sell my truck but I just wonder how to go about appraising my truck? Low miles, been in the family since new, completely original unmolested, and even has the original spare tire that has never been on the pavement under the bed, not to mention, owners manual and certicard. Hmmm, wonder what my truck would be worth? Only worth what someone is willing to pay for it I know, but really, I wonder what a ballpark figure would be.

A few yrs ago, Kyle sold his 71 Sweptline Special for somewhere around $10K. It was like new factory showroom condition. He acquired it with 17 miles on it and sold with less than a thousand.

The BJ truck is NOT a Sweptline truck. It is nothing more than a swept body on a modern, custom built chassis. Absolutely NO COMPARISON to a factory truck.

You have to play very smart while dealing with the trucks.
