That is insane. They would have been vinyl with cloth type inserts (I believe) originally.

There has to be another way!

I was quoted at $425 for a 1960's lawn tractor seat which made me laugh....

It's vinyl. You can't see it in the picture but the inserts are perforated with small holes.

Yes things are expensive here, I like living close to the border. Easy to slip across for cheaper parts and labor. Beer is a lot cheaper too

Great looking seats guys, think the vinyl is the way to go. Now will look for a pattern that i like and send it off to get covered, I'm sure it will be well over what you guys down south paid but what can ya do, eh

labor is the same for leather or vinyl. go buy your own hides and save a couple grand.

Hey guys, I do custom auto interiors. Personally, I think leather is a waste of money. There are some very good quality vinyls available now. Most of the work I do is using a similated leather called Ultraleather. Its expensive, but it feels like expensive glove leather , and it will outlast and out wear leather. But there are also some very good marine quality vinyls for a more reasonable price.

Hi guys! I think with the advancement in chemical processes there are many alternatives of leather. I will prefer Vinyl over leather. Leather is way too expensive.
