A Truck to Desire

Post by jimharold »

Hey Guys,

Do any of you remember the 1998-03 Dakota R/T? It had the 360 with 4 speed auto. Short bed and regular cab. 0-60MPH under 7 seconds. Reviews were good and a lot of them hit the drag strip on weekends. I lusted for them back then. I still do. Found one on Craigslist the other day with 2 extra engines and a trans for $3500. Above Bluebook some. I can here the wife now, "to get a new truck, one will have to go." I can't part with my 68' SWB and the 47' is my future streetrod. Oh, I wish I had a barn to hide things in.

Life goes on,
Jimharold.

Convert her from "to get a new truck, one will have to go" to "if you get a new toy, I get a new toy too".

I definitely remember those trucks. Almost bought one new. Pulled out the dealer for a test drive, and layed black marks doing 55
