Cherry Bomb broke down

Post by Handygun »

I wasn't going to start posting on here until I started work on my truck but last wed or thurs I passed a old Dodge broke on the side of the road, As I went by it I saw it was 62-5 that looked like the CB truck I pulled over and walked back and it was it. 528 in the grill, Radirs, Fake old logos, Zoomies. There was a guy in a jap car sitting behind it who got out and confirmed it was it but I had to see the motor and when he raised the hood a crossram hemi looked back at me. Seems it got a flat and whoever changed the tire broke off every stud. A roll back came and took it away. It's for sale at a place called Overstreet motors not far from where I work. Whats the chances of seeing that on the salt strewn streets? Not to be negative on my first post but what an idiot.

That's what happens when Guiddo doesn't know the difference between L and R on the stud and is particularly retarded enough to keep twisting them wrong after breaking the first one.
LF or LR tire?

That's crazy! I've seen it at the Mopar Nationals a few times.

It was the rear. IIRC it had rotors. So even if it was all RH thread you would think after 2 snapped :pale you would stop and reassess what your doing.

If they went to the trouble of converting the rear to discs I'm sure they would have changed the studs to right hand. :thinking

I would say that it isn't the best idea to drive these Sweptlines through road salt. :pale :banghead :shame

my left rear still uses left hand thread lugs. didn't see any reason to swap them out then or now.

I think the price reflects the 2nd set of gauges cut into the dash. That is silly.

Maybe the original gauges don't work.

I dont know how ridiculous the price really is.decent truck,5 grand.that hemi with all the gingerbread would cost you 25.radirs and tires another couple g's.and an asking price of 44 and change means "i'll take 40".could you build the truck for less?just barely, and that involves a lot of your time, which should have a value.if i was in love with that truck and had that kind of money,id hit em At 35,see where it goes and be driving now for slightly more than the sum of its parts.

Due to the fact that the truck got TV fame and it's got a lot of high dollar stuff in it, the more money than brain less TV auction goers have put it at an unrealistic value. Realistically that truck is probably worth about $20,000.00 only because of it's drivetrain.
