Certicard ?
CERTICARD QUESTIONS
As I've mentioned before - my D100 came with some of the original paperwork from when the truck was new. One of the items I have is the Certicard. I did a search on this Sweptline forum and only found a handful of hits for "Certicard". I've done a little other Internet searching and most of what I find is about MoPar Cars that had Certicards - but very little info specific to the Dodge Trucks. It seems that the warranty cards issued with the cars contained info such as scheduled build date for the vehicle, color code, interior code, etc.
It appears that the truck cards are different - but I don't know what all the codes on my card mean.
Here is a picture : The top left is the VIN#. Next is: D100. and on the top right: 114. (I assume this refers to the wheelbase - short bed)
The second line is a mystery to me: E26 T0I RA0I FA0I FS03 RS3I
The rest, of course is the owner info.
Any help in decoding that second line would be appreciated.

Re: Certicard ?
Thanks. Anyone else have anything on the Certicards? What UFO says here makes sense as far as it goes...ufo wrote:This is my best guess, E engine ,T trans ,RA rear axle ,FA front axle ,FS front spring rate , RS rear spring rate.
How many here have the card for their truck? I think Chrysler only used these from 1965 - 1968? Anyone know the years for sure?

Re: Certicard ?
I would think that the Certicard would use the same codes with either cars or trucks.
Cant see Chrysler using different codes for different production.

Re: Certicard ?
The trucks are different from the cars. I have the CertiCards from my '66 Imperial and Coronet 500, and one of the '68 D100 trucks.

Re: Certicard ?
Is the coding different (ie M for motor rather than E for engine), or is it just different information on the car than on the truck cards?

Re: Certicard ?
I have the certicard for my 68 D200 Camper Special
E= engine
T= transmission
RA= rear axle
FA= front axle
FS= front spring
RS= rear spring
My truck:
E22 383 engine
T23 NP435 (close ratio, don't know if wide ratio had a different code)
RA95 5500# dana 60
FA0I 2800#
FS09 1500#
RSI3 2600#
It would seem that the certicard says about the same thing as the door tag. I had one for my 67 Barracuda and most of the codes on it were the same as the fender tag, things like bucket seats, console, ect.

Re: Certicard ?
Thanks for all the replies and info on the Certicards.
I took Ol Yellow to a local car show a couple of weekends ago. Had one guy in particular very interested in the story behind the truck and thought the warranty card was very cool.
I like having these little bits of documentation that help to tell the story of the truck...

Re: Certicard ?
I bought a 66 D100 parts truck that still had a Certicard. Don't recall much about it.

Re: Certicard ?
Anyone else's Certicard labels printed on Pentastar label tape? They are a little hard to see in the pic. You can see one between the "V" and "I" in Virgil.

My Coronet has that tape, but the truck info is on regular red name tape.

Re: Certicard ?
Mine didn't have any tape. Just the metal and plain cardboard. It's floating around here somewhere, I think as a bookmark in the truck restoration book... which has gone missing.
If I didn't build it, it ain't mine.

Re: Certicard ?
I found this in the ebay add for the tape. I have the certicard from my Belvedere I had to donate.
