Feels good to be back in the old truck, thinking of building a stock roller 88 up style shortblock . The motor in the truck is an original 68 318 out of a Belvedere. The only thing that has been changed since 68 is a fresh set of 88 302 casting heads along with a H.V. oil pump and roller chain to freshen her up. The bearings looked good so I left them alone. Thinking I may pick up a mpg or 2 with a fresh roller block instead of the old flat tappet 68 shortblock.
