Who wants to sell me a van? or trade for my 68 D100
Guys i am looking for an A100 van....got about $1000 i can throw at it..or can trade for my 68 D100, clear title in my name in my hand....check my build thread for pics and other info....what do ya got? Prefer a runner, but not necessary, not a rust bucket preferably, automatic only (hate 3 on the tree) can pick up and drop off if you want to trade or i can just buy it outright...show me some pics of whatcha got

What about A108s? There has been one on Des Moines craigslist for a while. http://desmoines.craigslist.org/cto/3512322704.html

Yeah, I was thinking that too, unless it needs more mechanical work.facechicken wrote: the corvair van in that ad looks like a better deal

I didn't even think the IRS was accepting tax forms until Jan 30. I'm not even sure they have figured out all the rules for this years taxes.facechicken wrote:So i just did my taxes......gettin some money back.....

Maybe Keith has received his W2 and calculated his "approximate" return....soopernaut wrote:I didn't even think the IRS was accepting tax forms until Jan 30. I didnt state anything about taxes...in this thread, i did in another thread.....but if you add in the tax return, i can afford a little more I do have my taxes done but they dont accept e-filing until January 23rd at the earliest. I actually have the money to buy something now and "replenish" my stash of extra cash with my tax return. I like to have just an emergency stash of cash laying around in case i need it.

We're discussing it. I just don't have the van parked in my shop yet, it's about 40 miles away, waiting.

Me too, they really are so damn cool. I was looking for one initially but got my first sweptline, then my utiline. One day...
Re: Who wants to sell me a van? or trade for my 68 D100
This one has been posted for a good while off and on. I think it has been listed cheaper as well. Comes with its original wheels rather than these in the pictures...as seen in the previous pictures that he had posted. I would love to go see it, but have no plans to buy it as I would be KILLED if I did! Not sure about the a/c unit (or whatever it is) on top...but a nice starting point.

Re: Who wants to sell me a van? or trade for my 68 D100
I really like that van...but that is a little too far to drive for me.....I don't own a trailer so I would have to borrow one from the dealership I work at.....then borrow one of their trucks to pull the trailer which wouldn't be a problem, but don't want to put that many miles on a company vehicle.....would be crappy on my part to do that...but something like that for around that price is exactly what I am lookin for.....thanks for posting

We had a blast in that identical van in high school in the early 70's. It was easy to remove the side windows, which made an awesome mobile platform for water ballooning.
