that's slick, straight out of a James Bond movie!! i think that'd be tuff on a sweptline, the sides on our trucks are pretty tall & flat. i don't think they'd roll under as smoothly.

I'm sure, for the right money, they'll do that to anything.

Reminds me of the old Cheby wagons whose doors would disappear below the tailgate.

Remember the old Kaiser Darrin sports cars? Their doors would slide into the bodies. All fiberglass, very cool. Those roll-under doors look cool, but being an anti-technology kind of guy, I can't help but wonder what would happen if the servos or whatever close the doors went out. I can see getting out all right, but getting them back up would be about like un-capsizing a sailboat.

Ok, I'll be the odd man out here. I drive a '68 because it doesn't have any stuff like that on it. No EFI, ABS, power windows, power door locks...let alone power doors! To each his own, but I'll let them keep it on their Ford...

I had a 66 once that the cab where the door hinges attached was rotted away, when you opened the door you sort of had to catch it so it didn't hit the ground....Is that kinda the same thing as this deal is????? That one also took the sound of metal slamming shut to a whole new level. Lift and slam, and slam, and slam, then if you finally got it latched, don't lean against it. That was my 1st Dodge truck! My dad and I had "fixed" the door post twice by that time. We had a state instituted truck safety lane all trucks had to go through at that time. The guy gave me the safety sticker that last time, but told me to never bring that truck by again.I ended up trading it even up for a 66 Coronet with a 383 4 speed. Would have been around 1978 or so.
Nothing like taking the topic so far off course..Sorry, Gene

For all those that were upset that the Charger should have been a 2 door, there is your solution. Very Creative. I would hate to see what happens when it wears out.
