New member-my story part 2

Post by powertothepdub »

First i have to apoligize for the time between postings.Haveing two teenagers at home limits my computer time.As for those who wanted pictures of my incredible find here they are.Top is loading it onto a friends trailer.second is what i saw driving up to it fot the first time.Image
I realize this story sounds like something from penthouse forum but i assure you its all true. Here are some pictures after i got it home and started digging into itImageImage
Image This truck had been sitting in a shed for 25 years in wheeling w.va after the original owner had started a frame up resto in the late 70's. the frame and powertrain are from a farm truck that he actually had to cut out of a fence row.the original mileage is 26457.The body came from mexico and that is a story all by itself(a midnight raid on a cowfield) gotta go-more later.

Post by powertothepdub »

by the way the tires are 8 ply bias 7.50-16 daytons that the guy put on it 25 years ago-still had the rubber mold nubs on them-never driven,no weathering since it was in out of the sun all that time

Very cool.
That already is, and is going to be even more of a bad a$$ truck.

The doors are the same for all years but the door handles and striker plates are different. Also the stuff attached to the inside of the doors is different. 67 and up use a push button door handle.

The tailgate is smooth, no DODGE stamped on it. This would be a 71 or a 70 Dude tailgate. Most likely a 71 taigate though.

if you look at the picture showing the tailgate close enough you can see where someone for some reason hammered out the embossed DODGE
