Found a crew cad step side (update)
Found a crew cad step side (update)
Hey all I'm new here I found a 1970 dodge d200 crew cab step side that the previous owner started to swap out the 318 for a first gen non intercooled 5.9 cummins with the nv4500 and np205 transfer case. They are asking 7500 for it I was just woundering if that sounds like a good price.

The eng and trans alone bring $5-6k around here. U decide from there....
Re: Found a crew cad step side
thats what ive been thinking it needs to be put together but what they have done so far is good quaility work it also has the custom driveshafts and new front and rear brakes, it needs tires and ehaust and a few man hours to be on the road. thinking about building it to be my daily driver.
Re: Found a crew cad step side
lots of unknows there. donor miles, condition, any resent repairs or rebuilds? quality of work started, condition of sweptline. so on. take a hard look now and poss. save some grief later.

Ok so I talked to the seller again today and as it turns out the engine was rebuilt by a local shop. The trans was done by the local transmission shop at the same time. The body is rust free. Also the front and rear different have been rebuilt. It just needs put together.

Ok so here's an update on this truck I havnt pulled the trigger on it just yet. Life has gotten in the way but I am working out a deal on it. As it turns out the dealer bought it as it sits. But hes got a stack of receipts and info on the truck that he has let me go through. Here are some pics.

If all that has really been done it's definitely worth it. Cummins rebuilds are not cheap and should last you a long long time.

It's probably a Ford since it has a driver side differential.PwrWgnDrvr wrote:That doesn't look like a factory front axle....
