I went to the local pick n pull today looking for a distributor and found a '70 PW 3/4 ton. Paperwork showed that it had been insured until 2012. Mostly complete w/ decent bed. The poly 318 was all there, just no radiator. I snagged the Warn hubs to replace my broken Dualmatics. My heater in my '62 isn't all there, so I went ahead & grabbed everything out of the '70. Don't know if it will fit yet. Also got one 16" wheel w/ a good 235/85 tire since I need a spare. Not a bad haul for about $100.
I think I'll go back tomorrow & get the gauges, switches, & wiper motor. If they are still there. All the lights are there & the grill is good. Maybe I'll just go now.

Re: Denver junkyard find
Grills are worth gold if perfect.
Wont be a poly 318 in a 70. Last yr was 66 for poly in US trucks.

Re: Denver junkyard find
You're right. Not a poly. The grill is not perfect, but fixable. See pics.
I got the wiring & gauges. The only wires cut under hood were the reverse light switch leads & taillight wires. Taillight wires were butchered in the back anyway. Wires cut under dash are dome/roof lights, radio, & power to fan. Lost the wiper knob.
It was a fun day grabbing this stuff before it got crushed, but I don't need anything but the heater (maybe not) & tire. Might go back for hood hinges. Mine are weak & badly repaired. And the wiper. It was starting to rain so I called it a day. Guess I'll post an add for sale.
