Re: Racing update
Hey there John. Yep, I bid the plains farewell and moved back to the gulf coast. Via U-Haul however, and not shoeleather :D
I'm really excited about the DC race, I'll have a couple of days for seeing the sights.

Re: Racing update
Hi all, I'm back from the Army 10 Miler in D.C. It was a BLAST.
I will say though - OUTSTANDING. Not in terms of racing, but in terms of overall experience. We knew going into it that for us it would not be a "race". It's a training run on our way to marathon distance, it was about the trip, the sights, the meaning of it - it was a vacation.
We finished the run in 1h48min
So, a few pics.
The starting line - (look about 1/4 mile back there in the distance, there we are)
The starting gun. (note; there was NO trouble hearing it)
Seabee out there on the course. (%^$#*!! photogs didn't get any shots of Chele on the course) In their defense there were a LOT of people running.
I'm strong to the finish 'cause I eats me spinach
Chele at the finish showing yellow shirt guy that the peace sign doesn't make him faster
