Re: Bellhousing Engine Mount Isolators
I received a positive word back from "Then And Now Auto" on re-vulcanizing the old mounts: http://www.then-now-auto.com/nors-vulcanized-motor-mounts-rubber-products/ The cost each is 62.50 plus S&H. Turnaround time us normally one week. They will need your old one(s) to do this. I have 1 NOS, so I m...

Re: bellhousing mounts.
Morning all - does anyone have a link to this product from Imperial? I get a site called Moparmall that has the rear engine (Bellhousing) mounts along with the front mounts together, but not seperate. 2227 262 EDIT: John to the rescue in another thread: http://www.imperialservices.net/Truckpart.html...

I had Flowmasters on my Challenger and hated the drone noise on the highway. I put Dynomax Superturbo on and they sound great

Re: Question A-body bench seat in a truck?
Truck buckets use a frame that bolts the full width from side to side, not an individual bucket seat like the cars had. I bet you could improvise. I once used A100 seats, but I was lucky to find a factory bracket: Pictures here http://www.sweptline.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=38645&p=277566&hili...

Neat truck. I agree with others that it would be a good idea to get it moving as is and figure out a plan. I would recommend swapping for a ball bearing kingpin kit to see if that eases your steering worries. It made a difference in my D100 at least.
Best of luck.

Re: seats
I put Warlock seats in mine (1978-9 Dodge truck) on a factory bucket frame without tacks so I sit lower and further back and they are super comfy. I'm only 6' 1" though. Here it is pictured with A100 seats which I tried for a little while but they killed my back.

I think you can send him a used core so he can bore them? I did mine, definitely worth it.

It may be an interesting project. The bench frame is the seat itself so I don't believe there is an easy separation.

Re: rear main sel
If it is the rope seal, you can replace it with a newer style. Make sure the flat edge is against the oil flow (seal is directional)
You can pull the rear cap and slide the old seal out, and new seal in. No special tools.

Installed New bushing with no luck - I plan on getting around to this in a few weeks to see if I can figure it out. Letting it sit has helped my well being and overall mood so I'm not in a hurry!
Thanks for thinking of me!

Re: 1968 NP435 - gear chatter on deceleration
Hard shifting with anything heavier than 50.... tight tolerance I suppose?
This is where it would help to have extra (usable) transmissions laying round in order to get to the bottom of my problem. I've given up for a few weeks while I focus on our 19th century house instead.....

So, after the 8th time, the trans is back out and still looking for answers.... *Noise in all gears, including reverse *Happens with clutch in or out, in gear, not neutral *With driveshaft r...
