I've been pretty thorough in assessing this truck. The above glove box and top of the heater yielded a tag receipt from 15 yrs ago. I greatly appreciate your knowledge and willingness to help.

Soopernaut, You are correct about the tag. There is one on the front side of the bed (passenger side) in-between the cab. Of course I have no idea what number is on it. Can't blame a guy for dreaming. A Don Knott's signature would have been really cool. I believe the color name is Light Green Metallic or Light Green Poly but I'm not certain. The color is the original color. Behind the fuel tank and under the body ( Where undercoating has flaked off) is kind of nice...

These are pictures of my 71 D100. First pic is flat on the ground with a 4:56 sure grip and Turbo Action valve body. The second picture shows the addition of power steering and a straight 3" exhaust system. Third pic I'm in the process of sanding off the machine finish and polishing the 8's and 10's...

I'm not certain but I believe this truck was a spring special? I've seen a magazine add that really seems to fit the truck. The color of the truck shows up as one of the four special colors offered as does the trim and driveline.

I'm really not sure what your asking. I've attached an image of the data plate. The Vin is also located on a sticker in the door opening on the drivers side and shows a build date of 01/1971. Does any of this help?

I actually thought that I had. Thanks for letting me know that I hadn't. The picture is now up.

Does anyone here have any idea if these markings/ signature are significant and what does the tag denote?
