Re: 1971 D200 Conversion W200

Here's a 71 W200 with a 383 and auto. It's original per the VIN plate. I've probably seen 10-15 4WDs with autos from the factory. https://www.ebay.com/itm/195670476974?hash=item2d8ede88ae:g:3O0AAOSw0QZkGQ9O&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAwPeEi3pUbh7Uc2vkb1E4G9ePPoP%2FKq6meDhgW6BZP1p06daoom%2Fx4ZZgYwLbJmhMwZfe...

Re: HEADER OPTIONS FOR A CROWN VIC IFS SWAP

What block is used to make a 505 stroker? Hedman was one of the few companies that made headers that fit 61-68 Dodge trucks, but I don't know what differences a CV swap creates or if you have any stock crossmembers.

Sweptlineparts has no contact info or parts ordering that I can find and seems to direct all inquiries to Decadeautoparts.com. That site I have no idea if Scott owns it or if it is still active.

That site belongs to Scott, the founder of this site. He hasn't been in the parts business for 10 years or so and hasn't visited here since last August.

Re: Vin Tag and equipment question?

NT3011 is a tire carrier lock and is a common SERT on these trucks.
HH1D44 should have a number where the D is located. The oil filter SERT is uncommon and I've only come across it once on a 1971 C800.

31 10.50 is about the next size bigger then a 235/75
There are some sizes between those, but they aren't very common sizes. Most 31 inch tires are actually smaller than 31 inches.

Bill, was that setup used in anything other than the CSS pkg?
Not that I'm aware of. I'm pretty sure I've seen a stripe delete CSS truck, so they would probably build whatever you wanted as a special order.

Here is the factory bucket seat option, from the Sweptline Owners Group, on Facebook:

That is only for 68-71. The earlier buckets and console were different.

Re: New Tires, What Size am I Better off with?

Size wise I narrowed it down to 235/75r15 OR 265/75r15. Why did you pick those 2 sizes? You are right about the 235/75R15 being pretty close in size to what you have now. If you want to go wider, then a 255/70R15 is also similar to what you have now, but nearly an inch wider. If the wheels are only...

my mistake! the 71 is a w100 1/2t swb! sorry...too many trucks for my feeble memory1 But didnt W100 trucks from 69 to 71 come in both long and short box. 61 to 68 W100 4x4 were only available as short box trucks. :thinking :thinking He originally wrote that it was a 71 W200 SWB. 71 W200 sweptside SWB pickup I wasn't aware you could get a short wheel base in anything but a half-ton chassis (100 series) Was this truck a special order, a crew cab or something pieced together with parts from different trucks? I do know of a 65 D100 short bed that came from the factory with 8 l...

Re: 1968 crew cab power wagon motor/drivetrain option??

I don't know what you plan on ending up with, but there are a lot of variables on what you might want to use. 75-79 trucks were full time 4wd. Dana 44 front axles from these trucks used a weird bearing design that can be prone to problems, but they all had disc brakes. The transfer case was a marrie...

Re: Dodge Trucks in the movies and TVs

The movie Back to Back aka American Yakuza features a 71 D200 that is pretty beat up and missing the grille. It looks to be a 383 w/ A/C. The main character drives it throughout the movie.
