Re: Bed for 69 W300
The beds are 48" wide, inside. Add wall profile to that for outside dimension. Std axle backing plates are 47.5" between. Bed sits on frame and if it drops between backing plates when loaded it might need wider axle for both SRW and DRW. Friend with both setups says all his DRW trucks are wider and...

Re: Bed for 69 W300
On the single rear wheel with 9 foot box the rear axle is the same one used on flatbed/cab and chassis 1 tons.
ON the Dually trucks with 9 foot box the rear axle is much wider

Re: 745 to 435
Can the 1&3/8" 10 spline input shaft be swapped with a 1" 10 spline input? If so,... I figure the front input ball bearing ID may be different and would have to be changed too, as long as the OD seat in the case was the same? I called Novak to ask them this, Tech was a bit busy Friday. it should fi...

Re: 1960 4x4 conversion?
that set up would be incorrect for 60. should be 3/4 ton running gear in all Dodge half ton4x4s through 68. if you put the 5 lug 4x4 stuff under it it will decrease the value of the truck.

Re: 1960 4x4 conversion?
the 1960 W100 I am pretty sure was switched over to 8 lug 44 front and either Chrysler 8 3/4 or Spicer 60 rear . the 57 to 60 frames and spring set up is different than 61 to 71. it actually rides better because they are reverse shackle like 72 to 93 trucks. The frame should work but you might have ...

I would go with NOS on ebay. with so many parts being made in china now you never know what you'll get from parts suppliers.

hard to beat the cummins set up. I have a 361 powered D300 that drives like a diesel but does NOT get the same mileage! 10 if Im lucky. I am going to put an AFB on it and an O2 sensor tuning set up. I know another guy who has done it on his 361 trucks and can squeeze 15 mpg out of them

finding good used drums not too tough. two already posted here. I think its less work to just keep them stock. that rear diff will never die either.
