Nice truck. What was that bumper from. Different from the one I have on the back of my 66.

Sorry to burst your bubble but my truck is not a Fargo. I have owned this vehicle since 1975 and the paperwork clearly shows and has always shown it to be a Dodge. My Vin tag ,papers and frame number match.

On my 66 W100 the VIN is by the left rear wheel on the frame hump. I have cleaned and painted the area to be easily visible.

That wood grain panel is a hard to find part. When I had my 71 W200 I put one of those in it. Came out of a full load truck in a bone yard. 25 years ago at least.

Yes they used a 318 or 360 with a small block pattern bell housing with that trans. Truck and car for those years may be the same. What are you going to put it in.

One thing I forgot to mention was I had a narrow rad. Rad width will dictate how it will work.Also my truck had a 318 and that might make a difference.

Will the LA318 bolt up to the same bell housing as the 6? I have a A833 o/d and would like to keep it if I swap in the 318. That all depends on what bellhousing you have. 68 and older or 69 to 71. bell housing is from an 83 so is the trans 83 bell housing from a 6 will not interchange with a 318.

My brother just got confirmaition he can get a windsheild for his daughters 64 D100 LB. This is up here in British Columbia. Canada. Remember these trucks were also used extensivly in Mexico and South America.

Service manual for the year of truck to see if it shows a dualmatic. My 66 had the M 7 Warns originally. Now have the newer Warns used on the 69/71 Power Wagons.

I did a power brake and dual braking conversion on my 66 W100 about 35 years ago. I used a early 70's Dodge/Plymouth A body small diameter brake booster and mounting bracket. Custom made the arm to the pedel. Still works good after all these years.

I have a 70 d500 that I completely redid the brakes on a few years ago and at the time I replaced the hydrovac unit with a rebuilt unit. I got all my brake parts from a truck parts supplier.If I remember correctly all the parts were from a Euclid parts catalog.

Years ago I modified a stock battery tray from the drivers side from a 61 to 71 truck and installed it on the passenger side. Had to move the horns in my 71 and some other wires to make it work. Get back to basics. Fuel to carb but does it squirt out jets. Does the #1 spark plug posistion appear to be correct when piston # 1 at TDC. (timing chain pooched maybe)

Did you do the rear frost plugs while the trans/flexplate were off.

I bought my 66 Dodge W100 in 1975 when it was a complete beater. Now restored and in my garage . Take it to shows and the odd summer drive.

I have a 64 d 100 that i want to swap the body onto a 82 d 100 chassis . I do'nt think that its an impossible job i just want to know what to expect so i can map out a list of todos. dodgeboykim
