Front Dana 60/61 swap

Just picked up a 1990 Cummins 4wd chassis. I think I will eventually put my Crewcab on that frame . For now I'm thinking I want to put the 60 under my truck for now. I really want the disc brake swap. I have the master and booster from my 93 donor. My big question is the steering. Am I crazy to thin...

I wouldn't do it, but I would send me the address and I'll go get them  :Thumbsup . The turquoise one looks sweet, but being buried would worry me..

Southern Arizona truck adventure

Yesterday I went on a little adventure. I sold the utility bed off my donor Cummins truck. Guy asked if I could deliver it. Turns out another truck I wanted to pick up was "kind of" in the area so I said why not. I delivered the bed to Douglas, AZ which is right on the Az/Mexico border. From there I...

Re: Advice about re-wiring 68

The 2 flashers are built into the fuse box , not sure what they are. There's also a flasher on the original flasher switch. The guy I talked to on the hotline said I just need to run wires from the flasher to the individual wires for the front and back lights. I didn't have time to finish it.

Re: Advice about re-wiring 68

My part of the wiring is done. My nephew still needs to wrap the wires, permanently mount the fuse box, and clean up some of the routing. Got the brakes figured out by calling the Rebel wiring hotline. Guy answered right away and was very cool about helping. He explained the flashers, but I still ne...

Re: Advice about re-wiring 68

Well the truck is wired. Could not figure out the emergency flashers and we have no brake lights. I'm calling the hotline today to figure it out.

Re: Advice about re-wiring 68

Started the wiring today. It was going pretty good until I got to the turn signals and hazards? I'm having a hard time figuring that part out :banghead

Re: Sloppy steering

Or just send it to bud thorpe (powerwagon54) and have him rebuild it. He did mine in my crewcab and that made a huge difference..

That's what I do also. Just find blades and cut them to fit.

Re: Barret Jackson

If you really look at what has been done to this truck and realise that it was done by a shop I'm guessing the owner probably didn't make any money on it. Custom chassis, big money interior, ton of paint/ body work. I bet it cost him that much to build it..

If all that has really been done it's definitely worth it. Cummins rebuilds are not cheap and should last you a long long time.

Re: Advice about re-wiring 68

I set aside a couple days over his christmas break to do the wiring. He went snowboarding instead, so now I just haven't had time to help him out. Damn Millenials

Cab drop rail chrome

My truck didn't come with the cab drop rail chrome. My question is, do these clips need to come off or does the chrome go over it?
