Re: Leaf spring differences?

Seems to be other questions answered with more than 'look at your truck' or 'check a FSM' or 'check your vin'. Let me try asking a different question... What are spring rates for 61-67 W100 and W200? Check the parts manual. :dance :joker All kidding aside.... an official Dodge Truck parts manual wo...

Re: Switching from auto to manual

If the NP445 turns out to be too elusive to find..... you might look for a NP435 with the 4.56 first gear as opposed to the 6.68 granny gear. The 6.68 version NP435s seem to be more numerous.... but there might be a 4.56 version out there in a boneyard nearby? :thinking I'm not sure what the nomencl...

Welcome to the site. :welcome :usa :Thumbsup
Nice vintage photo there. Your '62 short wheelbase is considered
a W100 Half Ton. The half ton Ws used the 8 lug axles through 1968.
I'm not sure of the maximum sizing for photos...... maybe somebody
else will chime in on that.

One subtle difference I've noticed.......

Re: Is this for real?

Facebook Groups pull people away from the Forums such as this one. Seen that with other hobby's. I have commented in the Facebook Sweptline Groups on a number of occasions regarding a specific problem with the accompanying Sweptline.org Link. I never bothered with facebook. Some of the young Sweptl...

Is the frame for a 67 the same as a 70 d200 camper specials
Re: 100/200 Series Frames

The frames changed in 1969. :study
This is when the hydraulic clutch was replaced
by the mechanical clutch which meant significant
changes in the transmission frame cross member. :salut

Thanks John. If you know of anyone who wants that wheel let me know. I figure if 4 wheels are already newer Ford steelies, may as well make it 5. My next thing to bumble my way through is a brake light/turn signal mystery, but I will start a thread in the proper area for that! That sounds lik...

Re: '62 D200

Split "ring" wheels aren't dangerous. That wheel your spare is mounted on is the pre-'69 style and is probably worth something to someone. A "widow maker" is a reference to a different type of 2 piece wheel design. When a good tire shop mounts a new tire/tube on a split ring wheel, they're really no...

Can't help you with the gear reduction question but the 4x4 trucks use the longer cable I believe. I asked the same question a few weeks ago and was told my 4x2 uses the shorter cable and the 4x4's the longer.
That is correct. :Thumbsup
