You know what is really nice about this "style" of truck, replacement panels are more available for them. I always liked this style too. Actually, I had bought a 1979 Ramcharger Brand new! $11001.00

I am the one that did that headliner, it is in my 68. So, you can respond "over there" or, you can just email me with any questions too. I don't mind. I am not sure what the headliner looked like in the 69. Was it the small one like in the picture? OR, was it the large one that covered the who...

Thanks! :clap a picture is worth a 1000 words, so just take a picture or two and email them to: jmegee57@hotmail.com I will just make a bracket. That is really what I needed to know, if it was a bracket, or, just a different type of VR. I have an old 'type' junk yard near here, so, if I want, I coul...

bracket for voltage regulator

I have asked around, and I have found that no one can tell me for sure if there is such a thing. I have a 68 D-100 and the firewall has 3 holes in it for the VR. Now, the VR that was on the truck when I got it had 2 holes, and the replacement VR I got has 2 holes. Was there a bracket that the 2 hole...

Thanks Mesman, but the field wire was the root of my problem. I have read in past messages where someone had a fluctuation of voltage, possibly that was his problem with a bad"ish" ground on the fuse block. Good point!

Russ, that was my problem with 2 of the alternators. They were 2 field wire jobs. I did have a single wire alt. that didn't work, so... I suppose that is just a bad alt. I took BOTH of the 2 wire alts. and I ran both of them on my 68 with a ground wire on one of the fields, and they BOTH worked :cla...

Well, I tried 2 more Alternators that I had, and both of those didn't seem to be any different than the original. So, I looked some more at my wiring, and I really couldn't find anything wrong. SO, I took the alternator off of my 69 Road Runner, that I KNOW works, and NOW, I have a working charging ...

Charging question/problem

I hooked up my wiring harness and the ALT gauge is showing discharge while the truck is running. I had put on a brand new voltage regulator. Now, as far as I remember, when I started the engine in the "parts" truck before I did the engine swap, the ALT did work. That was a 1970, so the reg is differ...

Floor mats

I know that this has been discussed alot, but, I don't recall what the "final" findings were. WHO, WHAT, WHERE? are the BEST floor mats? I just talked to Ki Martin, and he said Mill supply mats are about 6" short of the seat. He also said, JC Whitneys wasn't a good fit either, and also he tried one ...
