69 W100 Window Regulator
Just had my driver-side window drop out of the regulator. Turns out, it slipped off the rear roller. Doesn't seem to be much holding it all together. I tweaked the rear roller frame a bit to better hold the bottom of the window, and added grease here and there. No pics to share, but does this sound ...

Old Pickup Trucks Are Hot Collectibles
"Old pickup trucks aren't just old trucks anymore. They are, officially, collectible" "Classic pickups are becoming a favorite item at collector auctions. For example, auction prices for 1947 to '55 Chevrolet 3100 pickups have risen 33% in the last three years, according to the collector car market...

Re: 69 AC/Heater Control Button Back Popped Off
To follow up, I ended up buying an NOS part number 3502126 from eBay, for about $70 shipped. Seems to look and work the same, so far as I can tell. For fun, I ran a bead of superglue around the back-plate joint for insurance; but if this one lasts as long as the old one, the next time it fails, it w...

Re: 69 AC/Heater Control Button Back Popped Off
I meant the inside front. You should be able to cross the part number. Look for a Standard Motors Products HS104. I have used it on a couple Mopars but, not a truck. It may be different. Roger. Mine is stamped 3895033. Best price I found was on eBay for $59.92. I checked the other crosses, and stil...

I have a used set. Thanks. There seems to be tons of NOS around. I may as well go that route, unless this guy is mistaken? 69 AC/Heater Control Button Back Popped Off
The control buttons on my 69 W100 just broke. Or, I think they broke. They back of the button console seems to have snapped off from the body, and the buttons all push in to--nothing. Given I have AC, I can't quite get in there to see whats what. Is all hope lost, or will it all snap back together, ...

Re: Spotted: '70s Adventurer in Newport Beach, CA w/WA Plate
I only did one walk around, but I saw no flaws. Paint had just enough oxidation to look original. Remarkable condition. Big dog in the back and what looked like camping gear

Spotted: '70s Adventurer in Newport Beach, CA w/WA Plates
Spotted this super clean Adventurer a couple days ago, in Crystal Cove parking lot, out front of a Trader Joes. Both sides looked great; maybe original paint. Mid 70s? I'm on again, off again, looking for a period shell, so I took a pic. This one had barn doors. Big dog in the back, so I didn't get ...

Windshield Sun Shield?
Anyone found one they like? I measure 71"x19" inside for my 1969, but a quick look on Amazon doesn't look hopeful.

Re: D200 383 header choices?
What was the cost to ceramic coat and where did you get it done? Pretty sure it was the below link. The guy I bought the extra manifolds from was(is?) a pretty serious drag-racer, running "tribute" 60's Dodges (Max Wedge). Also had a Sweptline, he was playing with. A very nice guy, he had me drive ...

I went with matching OEM center-dump cast manifolds and had them ceramic coated, fwiw.... http://www.sweptline.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=36208&p=264166&hilit=manifolds#p264166 http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb104/riffraffy/WP_20140719_001_zpsadcf8f3a.jpg http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/...

Re: Front leaf springs available for the W100?
On my truck I was just gonna have the leaf spring bushings replaced. My springs seem decent with the driver side only a 1/4" lower than the passenger side on the front. I've got bigger issues to tackle as I can see the frame is bent. Need to see if I can get that fixed first. 1/4" is not much, IMO....

Re: Front leaf springs available for the W100?
I just went to a local spring shop to get a quote to have the spring bushings replaced and they thought I should get new leafs also. Said they look a little pitted on the outside, so they probably worse on the hidden spots. Quoted me $1960 to have all 4 replaced and installed. About $700 of that is...

Re: Capable Slant 6?
Hello all. I have not found much info on towing capacities, etc. With a Slant 6 in my W200 Crew Cab, is there any hope of ever pulling a camper, or a tractor / car on a trailer? If my pipedream is to use the truck for these truck-like activities, what would you recommend? :thinking Thanks, Jim As f...
