Re: Scored new Power Steering!

I just scored a new Protech Power steering kit on e-bay. I don't know if I was bidding against anyone here, but it cost $577 plus $35 shipping. Comes with the new box, adapter, pitman arm, complete modified column and the drag link. It's off a project truck that never got finished. I've been trying...

If its for sale, what's the seller asking? There's really no way to tell u what its worth without knowing anything about it. Condition determines value, along with features.

Re: rear axle

No, no one has looked at it since I've owned it, It is the property work truck, used to pick up rock, sand, wood, dirt. I like the truck so much that I decided to give it a face lift, so it will last another 40 years. I live on the southern oregon coast and the salt air, play havoc on unpainted met...

Im curious how it is that repro parts are produced if u cant even print a Tshirt with the logo on it? I know a guy making new PW emblems that he sells - thats a pretty specific trademark, VPW sells repro fenders, rockers, etc, did they get a license from DC? Does every toymaker get a license to make...

John, get it. The seat is the same. The only difference is that the front seats have the slide adjuster units bolted to the bottom of the seat, which then fit into the mounts. In the back, the mount is different so that the seat can bolt in w/o the adjusters. 3 bolts to move the adjusters from yours...

Andrew, there are quite a few things to disconnect to get the dash out. With the dash in place, getting the pad off is easier if u remove the instrument cluster (easy) and the glove box. That way u can reach thru those holes to get to the nuts - 7/16" btw, nutdriver works well, they are usually not ...

I agree with that. That is respect. Not being afraid to use it, but doing your utmost to take care of, minimize damage and maintain your tool is definitely responsible, respectful and admirable. There's a very fine line between respect and worship, and its real easy to to get sucked over to the dark...

Trey, I certainly understand the satisfaction that comes from unsolicited compliments like that. But I do want to disagree just a bit with the respect u mention was shown to your truck by its owner. Im not so sure I consider it respect when a truck is babied and not used to its fullest potential. Us...

Ken, the truck lives in the rustbelt. U need to show very specific pics of the areas John mentioned above. They all rust or rot and salt speeds it up. Lower corners of the doors says alot too. As for the bondo, u need to be specific on the extent of that too. Adventurer SE's are pretty rare, but if ...

Many things from 68-70 dont interchange w/o mods. 68 Steering wheel is totally different, but may interchange, sig switch/wiring is different.
Sounds like u just want to part out the 68 and upgrade the 2 70's.
