not to relight the fire ... well maybe I don't understand this whole etiquette thing about old posts I understand the reminders about using search but when your search finds what you're looking for and it's 10 yrs old, you're supposed to start a new thread? makes no sense. this one is a good example...

Re: defroster duct hose - using 1-3/4 instead of 2 inch

thanks wally and craig for the suggestions. I'll check out the metallic ones.
I guess it doesn't make much sense to say, plastic just doesn't seem right, but then I'd be OK with using foil tape over something that doesn't fit.

Re: Starter Solenoid bad 'out of the box', or am I an idiot?

it sounds like you're talking about the starter relay, not the solenoid. the starter relay is attached to engine compartment side of the wheel well. starter relay for manual has only 3 terminals. if yours has 4, you have a relay for an automatic trans. no clue what is supposed to happen with it wire...

Re: Alternator wiring

catching up after several months. Stubbs68, what company made your kit? I think it would be helpful for other folks to know, because it sounds like something to avoid. Company should provide instructions for the basic questions you asked, or be able to explain over the phone. Extra at no charge . I ...

Re: Ballast Resistor question

, given that the engine must be running for the BR to be in the circuit, the '65 TSM is fine with 7.3A running continuously through the coil : 1.41 + 0.5 - 1.91ohms. 14V / 1.91ohms = 7.33A. It isn't the DC that fries a coil but the current at peak voltage (~12KV if memory serves) when the input is ...
