Re: Front end conversion - IFS, disk brakes, rack and pinion
Quite a few here have used a Fatman IFS and I don't recall hearing any complaints.

Re: Wheel Stud Replacement
On a 67 the rear break drum is not swaged to the hub, so that should be easily removable. Now whether the stud is swaged or pressed in to the axle shaft, I don't know.
Was it a left hand thread and they didn't know how to remove it?

Re: Mustang II IFS install
Good thread. I've read about all the issues you've had in your build thread. All those new parts look nice, but if they don't work it really doesn't matter. Another suspension that isn't mentioned much here is the Ford Aerostar. Since you have a Ford truck, I figured you are familiar with it or shou...

Re: 100/200 vs 300 cab differences
The brake and clutch pedal assembly is located differently also. I'm not sure about that. :thinking John If the steering shaft is located differently from the 100/200 cab, wouldn't the pedals have to be located in a different spot too? I've never measured or looked at the difference, but I recall P...

Re: Tire and rim size
As mentioned the factory 16 inch wheels are not common. Most cars used a 15 inch wheel, but there were some years where the Ford Crown Vic and Mercury Grand Marquis (late 90s- mid 2000s or later) used a 16x7 inch wheel with the correct lug pattern. The Ford Mustang had 16s available as well. I do no...

Re: Is this a NP445 truck?
Does the truck have a winch? I've seen 2 other trucks with that SERT number and both had winches. They were both 4 speed trucks, but I don't know which model. One was a 318 and the other was a 383. I'm guessing the number has something to do with a provision for a winch.

Why couldn't you go with 3.23s? The majority of sweptline era D100s had a 741 case and 3.23s were available.

It looks like you didn't take a photo of the whole decal. Is there a truck right above the words? Bigdad had those made.

Re: 1600mi Road Trip in a 71 D100
Also, if you look closely at the rear window, it has a sweptline.org decal along the bottom. I was really hoping someone here would recognize the truck and share some history! It does look familiar, but there were so many people and trucks that have come and gone over the years on this forum. It mi...

They are probably Hedman 79010. They even sell them at Walmart.

Re: Door Armrest Reinforcement
I don't recall anybody doing anything like this on this site before. Maybe that is why your search came up empty. The factory pieces seem to hold up pretty well considering they aren't reinforced. I've seen more issues like this in 80s vehicles.

Re: Data Plate and Differentials
The build sheet would tell you, but I'm guessing you won't be able to find it. The other option would be trying to compare to another truck. There is a SERT book, but it really doesn't have much of a description beyond what you have now.
