Re: Holley sniper efi

In my experience the cheapest are the Edelbrock Performer - plenty of rebuild and upgrade parts. You will need to use a fuel pressure reg like the Holley to keep it at 4.5-5 psi or it will run rich. If you drive every day, a Holley vacuum secondary is a decent choice. It seems to me the Holley needs...

Re: Holley sniper efi

From what I’ve read and watched videos on, a carb doesn’t necessarily care about engine health, EFI-O2-ECU setup gets a bit confused unless you manual tune it. Saw one guy’s video who could barely get his 383 cold started. It would be best on a healthy or rebuilt if that’s what you have. Just from w...

1964 (September 1963) Dodge Truck Sales Manual

Special thanks to a member here I bought a large binder 1964 Dodge Truck Sales Manual. Although this is mostly focused on commercial vehicles, it does contain interesting facts and illustrations, particularly for compact and town country models. There’s too many pages to scan everything but I will s...

Re: Ready to cut the frame

You might also look at the instructions for the C10 shortbed kit as a sanity check. Hot rod garage did a episode on that. If I were doing that after completing the splice/welding I would add another welded plate across the welded sections. But that’s probably overkill. https://www.brotherstrucks.com...

Yes that's what I was thinking. And on eBay as well unless that's you there. I guess they're covered by the 'few slight changes'.

Re: Radiator Seal

Not at all on topic as I have a non-stock setup... but related in case others find this thread. When at stop, hot air from the top of my engine gets pulled out over the top of the radiator, past the radiator support, out the front and back through the front grill. With the mechanical fan at idle thi...

Re: Disc Brakes here I come!

Excellent follow up on the build and parts list. Thanks! Although I haven’t gotten as far as I’ve wanted, I was able to take the truck around the neighborhood this past weekend for a shakedown and although the front is higher up than I want everything works well. It’s interesting that these two disc...

Re: 52 inch front springs

Anyone ever tried putting 52 inch rear spring pack on the front? By making a new rear hanger moving the rear hole back 4 inches, 52 inch rear springs could be used in the front. In theory it should make the ride considerably better. Thoughts? I have to admit that I’ve thought about the rear hanger ...

Re: Electric power steering mod

This looks interesting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sq-vqCLmZws While I get the fact that it is a specialty item and the manufacturer has a need to cover for lawsuit/insurance, there is no logical reason a motor is $1900. :thinking I always think ahead, what if 3 years down the road it quits wo...

Re: Front W100 leaf springs in 1964 D100

I bought these to take a look just in case my Alcan springs didn't work out. I know, most everyone would think that is a waste of money. But they were having a sale on these and at a little over a hundred bucks, there may be someone local who'd want these. Compared to the springs I bought from Alcan...

Re: Return Spring for brake pedal

I was going to put my spring back on but the new brake booster is plenty to push the pedal back in contact with the brake light switch. Plus, what a pain in the buttoosky to put back on - I tried and tried but gave up exhausted. So as soon as I figured I could live without it, it went into a drawer....

I have schematics from the owners manual for the original Sweptline Radio. If you want a copy of file PM Me your e mail address. Thanks a bunch - that would really help. It’s conradk-at-mac.com - and if anyone here ever wants to email me directly. Let me know if you didn’t get that pm - it looks li...

Re: Red buckets and carpeting on '64 D-100 CSS

Compared to others on here I am about as slow moving as they come. And unfortunately can’t help but improve the truck while repairing it, which adds way more time. I get where you are coming from though. Keep at it a little at a time. I just took a look at the 64 “Master Service Reference Books” and...
