new addition to my truck family
Since joining this group in May, my obsession with anything sweptline has grown to the fanatical stage( my wife looks at me with bewilderment every time she sees me at the computer). Anyway, that said , I recently had the opportunity to purchase my 2nd swepty,a '61 d100 from a long time swept enthusi...

The pasenger side did not have the factory mirror but the inner skin is drilled out for proper location if you ever did install oem. Those inner holes help locate the hot rod m...

3 hole mirror options
After reading Calmauzy"s post on his hot rod mirrors, I ordered a set. Put a little different twist on them. I switched the driver/passenger, located them about where the originals were, changed out the 4' rounds w/5" (from pepboys $20.00),made a small backer strip for the inside to stiffen the skin...

how many swept. units produced 1961-1971
I was curious about how many swept units were produced during the 11 year period. I realize a good % has gone to swept heaven, but hopefully there a pretty good inventory still out there.chris.

Re: 318 la headers
I bought the motor ( truck was free) with original block bored 30,360 heads, edel.proformer cam.roller rockers and 600 cfm w duel plane wienaund intake. I really don't care about the loss of power/compression or gas mileage as this will just be a weekend toy. Might even c/o the heads back to the orig...

318 la headers
Te '68 Ute I'm working on has the LA 318(360 heads) 3 spd column. Which are the best fit headers. I thought I read something about problems at the clutch slave unless you use magnum shorties. Any help with this issue. Chris.
