Re: Big Block Flywheel Question
I came at this from a slightly different angle This starter carries the same Chrysler p/n as the 2 bolt starter used in industrial big block applications. It is used in slant six fork lift applications If the picture is accurate it is a 2 bolt starter with a mounting configuration very similar to t...

Re: 69 D300 Radiator Replacement?
Which engine does your truck have? I want to say that the radiator is determined by this. Slant six, small block or big block could possibly have their own unique radiator, but I am not certain. Bucky The big block rad I have sits farther forward in the core support than the small block one that is...

Re: Tire/rims question
think all 8 lug use the same bolt pattern its the center hole that changes (think ford is the same ,chevy smaller ,could be wrong) Chevy is a bit smaller but it takes very little to remove and make them fit. Done 2 sets of GM rims for my Dodge W series trucks. My Avatar picture shows my truck with ...

If I was to make a double boot similar to that picture out of Kevlar would they chew through it?

Re: Electric Winch
That slot setup would never work for this truck. The levers travel almost 8 inches. Have been looking at modifying a shift boot from an old Peterbuilt or Jeep. Works just fine here doing forestry because the "slot" is not a slot. It's two pieces, each having a notch, one atop the other. In use when...

Re: '67 Dash support bracket differences
Hi, So quick back story I have a D100 '67 Dodge cab and dash donor to go on my '67 Fargo W100. Many years ago the dodge donor was stripped/painted/installed and I still have the original Fargo here mostly together siting on a dolly. I lost all my photos and did a soso job at tagging and baging. I h...

Re: What do you do with your sweptline today?
Drove the Green Truck down the hill into Silicon Valley to deliver a pallet of a 69 W200 driveline components to Old Dominion Freight. Stopped at the Hospital for a pacemaker check. Got a burger for breakfast (the first I've had in a couple of years). Stopped at A&M Motor Parts. Spent a half hour a...

They look great! Thanks for trying them and letting us know. I just ordered a set too I am glad to see someone else is willing to give it a try. Please post some pictures when you get them done! I have yet to hook them up, I haven't had time to even consider it. My wife and I went out of town to ce...

Re: What do you do with your sweptline today?
The plan is to roll some new bearings in it and run it.
I have seen this once before. It was on a Chevy engine with a cast crank and the thrust surface on the crank was worn also. That one went in the scrap pile.
This time the crank still looks good. Just a worn bearing.

Re: What do you do with your sweptline today?
Today was the day. I flipped over the 383 on the stand. It has been patiently waiting it’s turn,I found a very worn thrust bearing. Small spots of wear on only 2 of the mains on bearing surface the others looked good. The concerning part was about an 1/8 inch of play for and aft in the crankshaft. A...

Re: What do you do with your sweptline today?
My trucks usually need something done to them but haven't needed anything serious lately. I drive the 64 D100 1-2 times a week, the 65 A100 about once or twice a month cause it's further back in the shop while the D is just inside the door. Now for a little Off Topic. This yr I brought my 65 long t...
