I pulled apart a 70 wiper motor and put it back together the wrong way. Had to fiddle with it to reclock to correct position.

Re: Wipers are kicking my butt

Nutz means test it with the wiper arms OFF, not ON!

If you took the motor apart, you may have re-assembled it with the park position incorrect.

Re: Electric Winch

Look at the bottom edge of the front lip of Ron's green truck in this thread:
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=20160
That is a 61-67 hood.
68 is straight across.
The correct hood for a 65-67 pie plate grill won't bump against the pie plates.

Re: Electric Winch

Ron, the hood is a 68. 68 is a one year only hood.
All hoods 61-67 are the same.
69-71 are also all the same.

Interesting to see a 68 hood on a 67.

Re: '67 Dash support bracket differences

There is absolutely no need for that bracket on the driver side. That side is bolted to the pedal bracket by the steering column bolts, thus a bracket would be redundant!

Re: Numbers on the firewall?

When I removed the riveted on vin plate off a CSS truck I found in a wrecking yard, I found yellow grease pencil notes written on the back of it. That's gotta be about the most inconspicuous spot on any vehicle!

Re: Tail lights don’t work until warmed up?

Maybe corrosion or crud on headlight switch terminals, connector, or internally. Do the front running lights do the same? If not, won't be the headlight switch. Also check firewall connectors for same.

Re: General questions - 69 D200

Glass fuses are readily available at Napa. The factory harness has a connector for the voltage regulator, not that hack job of bullet connectors in the pic. The correct alternator has 2 spade terminals and 1 stud. Known as the "Isolated Field System" per the FSM - get the book. Unknown can is not a ...

Wouldn't the fan spinning on the front keep the crank full forward against the thrust bearing?
I wouldn’t think so the fan is on the water pump.

Is that a real photo? Pretty cool... It looks like either a giant tree or a really small truck.
The trees are like that out here Bill. That's why his location is "La Pine"

W 600? We really need to see pictures of this truck. It doesn’t get much better!! There's a whole thread about it over on one of the power wagon sites. I would post pictures here except I am now using my wife's laptop which doesn't have any. They are all located on my laptop which no longer works. ...

Re: New to me 1970 W200

How rare is the large knuckle Dana 44 front axle? My truck came with one. I pulled it in favor of a Dana 60 from a newer truck with disc brakes. I don't have any information regarding its rarity. Out of the 5 Power Wagons I own or have owned.... one has the large knuckle D44. Its a brute of an axle...

Re: What do you do with your sweptline today?

If you decide to go back to 435/205, I should still have all the original parts here to do that, including bell, flywheel. clutch, linkage, pedals, column, crossmembers and drivelines.
