Re: 4x4s represent!!!!

Working on it. Got it for my 15 year old to learn how to drive a clutch and work on a truck. He will keep it in the county and use it to get to school and back. Will probably see a lot of snow.

Re: Steering wheel, Blinker switch

I got it all off. The plastic blinker switch seems to be connected to the metal portion with a pop rivet. There are about 6 wires coming out of the bottom that go down the steering column to several connectors under the dash. There is no way to disconnect at the blinker switch. Do I need to replace ...

Steering wheel, Blinker switch

What is the best way to get he steering wheel off ? Do I need to use a puller. I took the nut off and its not exactly sliding off. Am I correct that the turn signal switch is under the steering wheel ? I was told that my brake light problem may be related to my not so functional turn signal return s...

Re: Driveline repair and rebuild

I did get all 6 yokes off. 4 or 5 are bad so I am going to replace them all with the newer ones that have a small nipple to keep them centered.

Where is the best place to buy the seals ?

I need:
Front and rear diff.
Tranny.
Transfer case x 3.

Re: Won't roll

Put a yoke back on just tight enough to roll. Or lift with floor jack at diff and roll on it. :salut And why did you take diff yoke out. :thinking I took the yoke off because 5 out of my 6 yokes were bad and as such the u joints had play in them. I am re doing the entire drive shaft assembly. Going...

Re: Won't roll

Not sure but they worked very well. No brake problems. I wonder if the parking brake is sticking ? The front wheels roll fine. When I was rolling it backwards it went about 3 feet then sort of clunked, and then stopped moving. Went to roll it forward and it rolled a couple of feet and then sort of m...

Re: Won't roll

Yes. Hand brake is off.

It rolls bit and then binds up and stops. Really acts just like a car that is in gear and you are trying to push it.

Won't roll

I took the driveshafts out of my 68 W100 along with the diff, transfer and tranny yokes. All 6. Went to push it out of my garage and it does not seem to want to roll. The back diff seems sort of locked up. Acts like its stuck in gear. I thought that it would just roll with nothing connected. What co...

Re: VIN lookup

One thing that I would like to find out is if it did not have a limited slop rear diff, or if I have one and its one of those that stopped working.

What is the S.o. Number ?
