Re: Bushing Question
It is rubber with thin metal surrounding the outside and a metal sleeve on the inside. I think the outside metal is normally one piece, but mine were two. I ended up going with polyurethane for the frame bushings, out of ease of installation. This is about what they look like (note, random internet...

Re: Rear Shock Choice - Need advice after mods...
You're probably going to have to wing it. I went with Rancho RS9000 that have adjustable damping. If you look though their catalog, in the specs section at the back, it will give you a place to start for length and mount/eye type. Rancho told me it was much more important that the shocks don't botto...

Re: 69 adventurer interior question
You might look through the 1969 Sweptline brochures, I have posted for download. They show all the available options and combinations. That said, I think it's possible Dodge may have done some things for customers/dealers, that weren't listed. http://www.sweptline.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=379...

Re: 69 Broken Clutch Pivot
Pulled the pivot today, and installed the new one along with a new boot and conical bush thingy. You can see the the 60% crack on the right. What you can't see are the multiple stress cracks on the left side and the reduced bend in it. Very close to total failure. I'll re-adjust the push rod and dri...

Re: 69 Broken Clutch Pivot
Scott, Thanks for the parts info. Got the order in with Brewers. Gonna be nice... I see what you mean about the fork springs. Took me a bit to figure out how to get the fork out. Spent a minute poking and prying on the springs, before I just decided to get aggressive with the fork :). Yeah, my boot ...

Re: 69 Broken Clutch Pivot
Scott, Well, I took it apart: Low and behold, I do have a crack in the pivot about half its length, and it is also bent over as a result. Good news vs a clutch! I just chatted with someone at Brewers Performance, and the guy I talked to wasn't 100% on the part numbers for a truck, if you could confi...

Re: 69 Broken Clutch Pivot
Hum, my 69's clutch pedal has been getting stiff and creaking after only driving a few miles, plus I did go through a period of abnormal adjustment. I wonder if I could have the same problem. How much work was it to replace?

Re: Power Wagon Fuel Economy
My W100 was getting 9 mpg when I got it: 383, 435np, 4.10, 4 barrel, electronic ignition (and supposedly an RV cam). I put a new dual exhaust, with an A/F bung, etc, and, with a lot of work, was able to tune it down to 7 mpg, around town, at sea level  Mind you, I was aiming for economy at crui...

Re: Brake/clutch/gas pedal pads for '61-'68
Anyone know where to find these? The gas pedal is the biggest issue for me. It seems like most of them rotted off over time. My '64 still has the original gas pedal cover, but the '62, the '65 and the '66 all have just the medal rod underneath remaining. You might look at the recommendations in the...

Re: camper special or not?
I am just getting into this model/era of truck, so i started myself with a '70 d200. I am unsure if this is a camper special or what. It does have the plugin behind the driver's door, and currently has "west coast" mirrors (whats the correct term?). On the door, there are 2 or 3 holes that look lik...

Re: adventurer vinyl top?
Brian here on sweptline was kind enough to email me some original brochures regarding 69 adventurer trucks which is very helpful in restoring my 69. In the ad there is a blue truck with what appears to be a black vinyl top on the cab; does anyone know if this was an option on 69 adventurers, or 69 ...

Re: Front leaf springs available for the W100?
Well, Finally got my spring situation all sorted out. Kudos to Bill at Alcan Spring for working with me on this--in good faith--and not abandoning me. Took one return UPS trip with the first set of springs, and one set of replacement fronts, with new top springs for the rears. I also ended up instal...

Ford Hub for Dana 44 W100? or Disk Conversion ?
I need a front hub for my 69 W100 (closed knuckle Dana 44, drum, 5x5.5). Will a Ford hub fit? If so, what models and years?
Also, is there a way to convert to discs, without changing the entire front-end?

Kreem is one of POR-15's competitors that a lot of motorcycle people have had problems with. POR-15 actually makes a product to remove failed sealers.

Re: POR 15
Eight years ago, or so, I POR-15ed the inside of my Ducati Monster tank--which was weeping at the spot-welded hinge/pivot. Zero problems since.
I know you didn't ask, but POR-15's competitors do not have the same reputation...

What about installing the new studs?
Just use splined ones, and press them in, like the rears?

Changing Left Front Wheel Lug Studs W100 (drum)
Due to an uninformed Costco tire "technician" snapping two of my five left rear wheel studs, I am going to change all left-side studs, front and rear, to standard thread. (can't find any left-hand thread studs, anyway) Rear is straight forward, and I already have the studs out. Front, I have the dru...
