Re: how to list my sweptline for sale?
Yes... pictures are a great thing to help sell. Also, list a location... maybe add in whether you will deliver? Or stuff like that. Things that YOU like to see when searching want ads.

Re: New Member with New Project
We corresponded through a PM here and that's how I knew about the Charger.soopernaut wrote: ↑Tue May 10, 2022 5:14 amA. How did Jim know you had a 67 Charger?
B. How come nobody asked about the other Sweptline in the background? What's the story on that one?
I saw the other Swepty... but just "forgot" to ask!

Re: Carpet on gas tank - ACC Kit
Thanks Jim. I found it on Walmart's web page. Out of stock online and not carried in any of the stores near me. I'll check again towards fall and see if it is available then. Still $19.99. It probably will be available then because I think it was for college dorms. Seem to remember something about ...

Re: Carpet on gas tank - ACC Kit
It must have been awhile ago. I couldn't find any carpets like that on Walmart's web page, let alone for $10. I found a number of online outlets that offer it by the yard, but quite a bit more plus shipping, which ceased to be affordable a few years ago. Once we get moved and I get my tools unpacke...

Re: Carpet on gas tank - ACC Kit
Did your fuel tank cover carpet come with the edges hemmed or was it just a raw edge. If hemmed, what is the PN and where did you order it? The original had the edges bound, but the one I put on my tank was a home made job from black 5X8 area carpet I bought at Walmart for $10. It had the edge boun...

Re: Carpet on gas tank - ACC Kit
Txas2step - Yes, just the carpet. I think that you are correct, it was just the CSS models. Good idea with eh snaps, thanks! -W The gas tank carpet was also used on the Adventurer in 1968 :salut Mine had screws with a trim washer and screws down the driver side. On the Passenger side they had these...

Re: Quick and cheap (ya right) paint suggestions
Thanks, I should learn how to use a spray gun. I even have a really old one that I never used. Isn't enamel harder to spray because it's thinner? Thx! It's only as thin as you make it when you add your thinner. There "used to be" a hardener that you could add to enamel to help it harden faster and ...

Re: Quick and cheap (ya right) paint suggestions
I would suggest going with a spray gun (Harbor Freight cheap) and using paint you can get "Enamel" at Tractor Supply. Not sure of colors, but they had "gallon" cans. You'd have to buy Thinner as well. You also will be limited on colors. Mostly Tractor Colors... JD Green/yellow, IH Red, Ford Blue, Ca...

Re: Old Stem Mirror Suggestions
Bondo is a soft "plastic" material and will drill easily. Then simply clean the nut threads with a tap. I looked at the photos, but that looks like weld. Although, it IS possible that it's just Bondo too. In fact, it would be BETTER if it were just Bondo and like you said, that can be drilled out v...

Re: Old Stem Mirror Suggestions
Hey all - As you can see from the pics below, someone put larger mirrors on my 66' before I owned it. I have the old stock set and need your thoughts on how to attach them and what to do with the newer mirror holes. As the 2nd and 3rd photos show, when the West Coast mirrors were put on the old mir...
