Re: Looking at buying my first Sweptline
Its a beater truck worth LESS than $500 as is. You'll spend a couple thousand just to get it safe and operable and a few more grand before your woman will ride in it. Terry's been talking to my wife! The last time out with the truck - the wife said 'Let's take your truck out for your birthday...

Its a 1 of 1 truck. Only known 8' Utiline CSS, (LWB). 4th Ute CSS overall, most original known, too bad it was repainted :pale Conrad has the 2nd discovered Ute CSS, SWB. Modified. First is somewhere in Canada, at last report getting hacked up (modified). Third was dismantled for another hack job a...

Re: Summertime
Pretty warm this past weekend in the Mid-Atlantic but when the weather is this nice have to drive her around town for a few errands. I'm amazed how much air flow I get in the cab of the truck when the quarter glass is opened. :Thumbsup I agree I'm surprised that Dodge didn't use 'cab air flow' as a...

Nice truck! :Thumbsup Looking forward to seeing how it turns out. If it's embossed "SPEC", you better buy it and keep your lips sealed  I hope an enthusiast buys it. There are so many more people nowadays who don't really care about the vehicle, but have the money to buy/hold/jack up the price....

Re: Bed Mount Angle
Can anybody help me find that degree of angle so I can save myself a few less experimental pieces of wood? I’m guessing I need to get a hold of a protractor. I’ve gathered a lot of information thus far from this site going way back in time as well. Thank you . John This is a puzzler. I haven't foun...

Hmmm... I haven't installed mine - worrisome that they are aware a modification is necessary. Looking forward to seeing your results.earlymopar wrote: ↑Wed Jul 03, 2019 6:21 amCPP is sending me a new fitting that will place the seating surface slightly higher to assure a seal when the hose fitting is tightened.

MoPar P2998326 for a 70-73 Charger purchased through Steve White Motors (Chrysler dealer on eBay). It wasn’t cheap though.
Like you said basically any big block radiator shroud.

I was using a 26" MoPar (labeled) plastic replacement shroud before I lost my tach into the fan and chewed it and the radiator up.

That’s exactly what i have. Have you seen any replacements online and how much do they cost used and refurbished approx. Yes on eBay and on Craigslist. You can contact a reputable Chrysler 727 specialist like TSR or Cope Racing and they will talk to you about transmissions all day long. (I bought t...

Early 727 Torqueflite. If you look underneath, you should see a cable that threads from the front through a hole in the trans (drivers side). https://st.hotrod.com/uploads/sites/21/2008/07/mopp_0807_02_z-727_torqueflite-front_view.jpg https://blog.consumerguide.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2012/06...

Re: Some new pics of my 1971 D100
There is a custom 2.5" dual exhaust (x pipe) with some flowmaster 40 series. Leaf springs have been de-arched and new Bilstein shocks installed. Was wondering if you knew what headers are on there? Any problems fitting with the steering? I bought the off-brand hugger headers but haven't gotten to t...

Re: Ballast Resistor question
FWIW, first thing I did on my truck was switch to the 'digital' regulator and updated voltage controller, and tossed the dang ballast resistor. Super happy with the more modern parts. I know there are some folks who need to keep the originality of it. If I had a '69 Roadrunner I might hollow it out ...

Re: Covercraft fitted cover
I will say again that if you can, get the mirror pockets wherever you get your cover. They look goofy and are an added expense, but I'm sure the cover would fit better with them. The Covercraft cover got through the first winter well, a tropical storm in the Fall and a number of storms this Spring. ...

Ive driven swepts daily for over 40 yrs. Ive rolled speedo's over more than 4x, one truck twice! ALL have in cab tanks. The only issues with gas leaks or fumes have been worn out vented caps that leak or once a tank got a hairline stress crack that seeped. Of the millions of sweptline trucks built,...

That’s good info. I plan on moving my tank back there at some point. I’d love to have that extra capacity but also conceded that I’d be using the smaller one from Tanks with internal baffles.
