Colorful old trucks! What colors?

What original colors did the trucks come in from 61-71 and what colors were replaced by new colors thru the years? :thinking

Re: 1961-early 1965 small to big back window

The 1955-1959 Chevy truck crowd has been doing it.I prefer the small window for some reason though.

Thick ground wire connecting the bed and the frame also would help :2cents

J&J upholstery supply in Rialto,Ca. should have the original material or can order it for you if you can't find it elsewhere. :2cents

Re: Stripped interior window and door handle fix?

Best to replace with good parts from the junk yard.Or,if you can't find parts, drill a small hole through and stick a small cotter pin through. :2cents

Take them from another truck at the wrecking yard.A newer one would be the last option .Napa does not have them? How about the dodge parts department?

Don't remove your old throttle spring, just add a new spring next to it for better pressure. :2cents

Re: brake lights

I installed two extra-seperate lights with the function of "brake lights only" wired directly from the switch. Check your bulbs, connections, for clean and tight, ground.Hope this helps.Good luck.

Re: Toasted ANOTHER fuel gauge. Ideas?

Install an aftermarket one.One terminal goes to power, another to ground and the other to the sending unit. You also would need an aftermarket sending unit, wont work with original dodge sending unit.I have found them easier to install, they do work well. :2cents
