"Interesting," that word we use when we're not so sure we like it.
I try to say what I mean and use words for there intended purpose.

Interesting- arousing curiosity or interest; holding or catching the attention.

Re: Early '65 D100 Utiline rear brake shoes, wheel cylinders

I think you would want the parts for a 65. The early 65 trucks had the non tapered axle and the 64 trucks did not.

Interesting D300 Cummins truck

This reminds me of MikeMc's truck, but his was way beyond this. https://i.ytimg.com/an_webp/5QROlG3oxbo/mqdefault_6s.webp?du=3000&sqp=COr-vJgG&rs=AOn4CLAF_0Xa88kF9nSOtfgSGkKwWYebyA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5QROlG3oxbo MikeMc's truck: https://www.sweptline.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=37518&...

Re: '70 & '71 HD Instrument Panel Wiring Diagram

Got a photo? Not mine, but you get the idea... It will not fit an early dash, but with all the mods you plan for the truck perhaps a dash swap isn't out of the question. I don't recall the year of truck you are building, but it seemed you had at least one truck that was a 69 or later. https://www.a...

Re: '70 & '71 HD Instrument Panel Wiring Diagram

I've been looking at fitting a similar set of Stewart Warner instruments in mine, but fitting a vacuum gauge in that space is just too tight. Not to distract from the original post here, but since it was brought up, if you had a 69-71 dash/gauge cluster you could fit 8 gauges in it. I have one from...

This was on TV, as it was shown on PBS. The Iowa state fair truck and tractor pulls featured a Sweptline.

70's motor homes with solid axles were likely M400 series & would have 5 lug Budd wheels.

Bucky
I think it was on Rockford Files that I recently saw a full sized motor home with 8 lug wheels. It may not have been a Dodge.

The Ram Man Inc makes a D300 front disc brake kit.
Does it fit a dually axle?

Perhaps a 70s full size Dodge motorhome would have something that would fit.

Re: my 64 crew cab is back.

I remember this truck. I went back to see your old posts to get details, but couldn't find anything except this thread. The strange thing is when I searched I found this: Some here may remember this truck. I traded it 10 years ago after owning it for 12 years. Well, I just reacquired it. Not to wors...

That wide, straight, side trim was NEVER used on a 68.
I think you mean '69. That trim is late 65-68.

I don't know what you are seeing, but that is clearly a 68.

A 30A fuse for the horn, as feeds 16AWG wire? No way, and I know the horn line is bigger than that. No relay? I’ve seen them on these trucks. Where is it? I don’t see any sign of a relay for side marker and clearance lights as shown but trace the feeds from the ammeter. Single horn trucks did not h...

Some of the parts seem reasonably priced. $250 for a tailgate that will never rust or everything for $5000. I wonder why they used a Ford bumper though.

Are you sure it is a 1970? You should also be using the last 6 digits, not 7 or 8 as you used in your examples.

Re: Factory Roof Mounted Air Conditioning

I remembered to look in my 69-71 parts book, and although it is a bit hard to decipher the availability of some items, it appears that the Kysor roof A/C was an option on D400-600 trucks. The illustrations show the same parts that appear in your photos. I'm guessing it is a pretty rare option.

Re: Factory Roof Mounted Air Conditioning

I'm still curious if that A/C unit was a factory option or a special order. When you get a chance, can you post the code to the left of A/C on the equipment ID sticker?
