I'm with johninky ,wheel bearings can make a difference, and check the rag joint that fixed my steering.

Re: CPP Steering Input

Nice, what year is yours? Mine didn't need to have a new fire wall seal. Let us know how yours works at a stop. That's the problem some of us have had.
Until then swept on, john

Re: CPP Steering Input

I posted pics of my install on a different thread. The install was very straight forward and looks great. I cannot turn from a dead stop .but I could not turn the manual box at a dead stop either. I am happy with the system...the issue , I think , is the quick ratio box. No amount of pressure can m...

I used CPPs rag joint (thinking it was a ford) split and bolted to the dodge column half rag joint.

Re: Power steering, whats the best way?

I did my 1970 d100 back in May, everything worked fine. The only problem I had was hose to pump because I was using Mopar Frderal style pump. Had to have a custom hp hose made at a local vendor. Franicisco Magallance (Frank) is the guy to talk to @ CPP, if he is still there.

Steering box swap

Question, sweptlines used to manual steering boxes ( 1969,70 D100) has anyone used one for the other by changing it with the correct rag joint?
Thank in advance for any help, john

Guys, I have a 59 D200. The engine is out and I'm about to start the power steering install. I talked to the old pick up guys and they have a kit. Anyone have direction or ideas for better power steering kits? The only bolt on power steering kit I found was from CPP, the install took about 4 to 5 h...

Re: Need Radiator help for 1964 D100 with LA 318

Ok, after reading the above post, I ordered a direct replacement 3 core radiator for a 71 d100, the dimensions are exactly the same as the one I removed from my 64 except the inlet and outlet are now on the correct sides. So that was good. Problem #1: The brackets on the 71 radiator were NOT on the...

I thought I'd reply with what may be the least popular thing to do.... -Have your current steering box rebuilt. -Install new leaf spring bushings -Install new "quality" king pins. -Install a new drag link -Install new tie rod ends -Install new shock absorbers -Install a new steering rag joint -Alig...
