Re: Newbie looking for knowledge

Rusted out cab mounts underneath the rubber floor, and also the recessed step tends to rust out also.

Re: All Mopar disc brake conversion

Just watched a few of his videos, those look amazing! Can't wait to stop at his booth in Ohio and talk to Wayne about a setup for my D200.

Re: Kingpin help

My 2yr old boy keeps asking when the nana(banana) truck will be done, long story short my father in law corrected my son that the color of the truck was top banana and not yellow so now he calls it the Nana truck.

Re: Kingpin help

I just called Rockauto and they cancelled my order for the Moog set and replaced with an AC Delco kingpin set part# 45F0044 includes ball bearings and metal bushings for $54.79. Good thing I caught that before it was shipped

Re: Kingpin help

I ordered this from Rockauto:
Moog part#8453b with metal bushings

I didn't know that you could get a kit with the ball bearing, I thought it was just something swapped out.

Re: Kingpin help

I just go to NAPA and bring in the washer bearing from my kit and tell them I want a roller bearing that size?

Kingpin help

Somewhere here I seen mentioned that someone replaced the metal bushings on their kingpin assembly with a bearing from NAPA to improve steering function. Just curious where that bearing would go on reassembly and maybe a possible picture of what it looks like to help better gauge that I'm doing it r...

Re: Rim Choice Help needed

A nice torque thrust rim looks really good on these trucks for a more vintage street rod truck. Or even Chrysler rallye rims with center caps and beauty rings look nice, can usually find enough of those around on craigslist if you have the means to clean up and repaint yourself.

Re: Roadtrip Worthy

Thanks a lot for the input, I really appreciate it. I noticed a few people have updated their shocks to Rancho, has anyone ever tried the Monroe shocks? They look a little more stock to me but don't know much about the truck versions, I've used them in cars and tend to go with Rancho for trucks. I w...

Re: Roadtrip Worthy

Thanks Al, That's exactly what I was looking for. I've asked the same question at the local car show from vintage truck owners and the consensus was similar, some also added swapping out to a more premium shock, 4bbl intake and carb and some nice highway tires. How is your steering? If your steering...

Roadtrip Worthy

Hi everyone, just some questions and concerns regarding my D200 Camper Special. It is mostly all stock, 318 2bbl, manual 4speed, Dana 60 rear with 3.54 gears. My end game for this truck is I would like to be able to drive to far away car shows and use on family vacations. What are your recommendatio...

Re: new box power steering

I'll bet it well. If your truck has air and the dart doesn't the bracket may not work. You'll need to find out what pressure your pump makes, CPP may know give them a call. The steering box went right on may truck could have been out driving it in about 6 hours. My only hold up was the pump to box ...

Re: new box power steering

I wonder if this setup would work for my 70 D200 318, I also have the power steering out of a same year Dart that also had a 318, would the brackets and pump work off of the dart with this kit? Wish I would have seen this kit earlier before sending my manual gear to get rebuilt.... :thinking

New to forum

Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum and also a new sweptline owner. I've owned different Mopars in the past but this is my first older truck. I just bought a 1970 3/4 ton d200 camper special and so far I just love it. Great truck, reminds me of the one my grandparents used to have.
