Truck Value opinion

Hey guys, just looking for your opinions on my truck's value. I know "it all depends" and "whatever someone is willing to pay" are accurate statements, but I'm just trying to get a ballpark idea of what it's worth or what you would offer if you were interested in buying it. It's a 1970 D100 "Dude" t...

Re: 1970 Dude - Field Find

The Dude has been doing great, no issues so far. I've been doing some small repairs and things since the last time I posted. Re-did the headliner with the same material as the seat, replaced valve seals and adjusted the valves, cleaned and lubed the speedo cable, and adjusted the doors. I get a lot ...

Re: 1970 Dude - Field Find

Washed it and scrubbed some..... 99% of the rust streaks came off and it actually shined up pretty good, much better than I expected!

Here are a couple before and after pics. What do you think?

Re: 1970 Dude - Field Find

I had been through the truck mechanically from one end to the other and fixed everything that was broken, worn out, or out of adjustment so there wasn't a whole lot that could have fell apart on the cruise anyway. The fact you had the $ & time to accomplish this in a week is what impresses me. :Thu...

Do you have the 70 Dealer brochure on digits? If so, would you be willing to email it to me?

Re: ID this trans?

I went by a 70 Dealer brochure listing trans options. Not familiar with outward appearance of 3 spd's in general. Oh ok, lol..... this is my first trip into the 3spd world too. I know the original, the filthy trans in the pics, is an A250. An A745 looks very similar to the A250, but it has a hump o...

Re: 1970 Dude - Field Find

Looks like your pedal shaft could use a bit of lubrication maybe?? :thinking John Were you looking at the bungee strap holding the brake pedal? It was there because the master cylinder was shot..... the strap was holding the pedal out, and pushrod, out of the way while I changed the M/C. Good Eye :...

Re: 1970 Dude - Field Find

Great story so far. You are extremely brave for that long trip and glad to see it worked out well. Well, my earlier statement may have been a little misleading..... I drove it around home Thursday and Friday, probably 75 miles total, to shake it down after all the repairs and see if anything else n...

Re: ID this trans?

A250 3 spd. I'm confused.... The door plate says that the truck came with an A250, but the pics below are of the trans that came out of the truck. The pics of the trans in the original post are the transmission I bought to replace the original, because the original had a chewed up gear and broken s...

Re: Crown Vic vs 1981 D250 Frame End

Hello gentlemen, how is eveyone doing on this fine June day? I'm at a crossroads and I was hoping for some insight on a decision I'm trying to make. My goal is to upgrade my '66 D100 with IFS, PS and possibly disc brakes and after reading many posts and build threads on this fine site I've narrowed...

Re: Finally found some wiper arms .. now to find wipers?

My local Napa had regular black wiper blades in stock for my 1970..... They could also order the "classic" style that had the shiny metal frame.

I don't have the part numbers handy, but they looked it up without any trouble.

More pictures....I did decide to repaint the roof black, not sure if that was the right choice or not. The picture with it backed into the parking spot is at the car show on July 18th...... The guy with the corvette I am parked next to came over and moved his car to another spot shortly after I park...
