Re: Engine stalls in gear
1.rusty fuel lines with a hole in it
2. you are hooked up to the wrong vacume line , you need the manifold vacume line
3.intake and carb was a waste of money 318 are short on head flow , cam lift and compression

Re: CPP Steering Input
I think the problem is the pressure from the pump, you cant use the rack and pinion pumps too low pressure , you have to use a high flow pump off of a older dodge , truck if you can get one, not all of these pumps are the same they are vehicle specific. I am not going to buy one till we all have it ...

Re: steering column
wow talking about answering all my questions , thanks guys !
well I did all of the suggestions, not the bearing in the column, deff in the box , prolly a corroded worm gear seems to be when wheels are straight there is a tight spot turn either way and it turns freely.

Re: well i picked up my sweptie
Keep in mind that modern car oil will destroy your camshaft. Heavy duty oils only in your old engines... Rotella, any grade. Delo, Delvac, whatever the farm co-op, feed store, tractor dealership stocks. Car oil does not have enough zinc to protect vintage engines, to and including current productio...
