We saw her! She was quite awesome! Ben Haha, that's funny! She was pretty excited; this was her first trip to Carlisle. I'm sure she told you, but she's got a Challenger that she's pretty proud of. She and her husband are part of a New Jersey Mopar group (all modern cars, though) and they do meets/...

Re: Brake Master Cylinder cap
Ive never had a problem in 40 yrs with the wire clip type in any of my trucks, starting in 1978 with a 70 W200. I do get sick of wrenching out the bolts to check fluid on the earlier ones though. Prior to this, I've never had a problem with them either. But, it is annoying not being able to add any...

Yeah, if I do go with a new MC I'll probably invest in one with the bolt. Seems more secure.

Ok. Don't go nuts looking; $30 isn't the end of the world, and I suppose that then I'd just have a spare MC on hand.wally426ci wrote:I may have a new one I can send you - let me look (I had a new napa cylinder that I waited too long to return...)

Re: Brake Master Cylinder cap
Are they on there? I never think of Year One because everything they've got listed for Mopars is for A, B, or E bodies. I'll take a look.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Brake Master Cylinder cap
Howdy all. Wondering if anybody knows of a source for a new master cylinder cap and/or gasket for these trucks. I have the dual reservoir MC, and the gasket for the cap is leaking. It's not a bad leak, just an oz or two every couple of weeks. I can get a replacement MC (with a new cover and gasket i...

Re: Chryslers at Carlisle July 14-16 2017
I'd absolutely love to go, even though mine still has a 'Survivor' status instead of a 'Restored and pretty' status ( ), but I can't take the time off from work. :banghead It's especially tempting since this year is the '100 years of Dodge Trucks' celebration. The GF and I are hoping/planning ...

She's back!
Got the old girl out of storage this weekend. She's usually kind of stubborn for the first start of a season, but this year I thought ahead and brought a small oiler can to put some gas directly into the carb with. A couple of sprays down each primary barrel and she fired right up! https://www.tacom...

Re: Walmart 235/75-15 tires
Hey Guys, I am looking for some new wheels and tires for my 68' SWB and saw these at Wally World. Goodyear Wranglers 235/75-15 for only $73 each . I have 235's on the truck now and they look good but I want a big/little combo. So I have to pass. The wranglers must be some kind of OEM tire since the...

Re: Rebuild. Maybe?
Fuel gauge got stuck so you ran out of gas. Next time you drove it the throttle return spring broke Then the radiator hose developed a pinhole and ruined your alternator Sounds like a case of owning an antique to me! Last summer I spent a month of weekend work replacing king pins, brake lines,...

Re: Winter storage suggetions
Those of you who live in areas where there seasons actually change, what do you do to your trucks to prep them for extended periods in storage? Do you drain the gas tank or simply add Sta-Bil or other additive? I have a trickle charger for my battery and will be pulling that. Just wondering what yo...

Re: New Mini-starter installed on NP435 Trans
Nice. I have one of those on the NP435 in my '84 and it works awesome. Cranks over fast and hard even when it's -20 out, or even if you've been working the truck hard hauling a full load of trees up out of the woods at low speed and it's hot. Worth the $$ for the upgrade, for sure.

Re: 3 speed to 4 speed
I agree, sounds like an Overdrive A833. Not a bad transmission, but not as reliable as the original non-OD A833's, from what I've read. I have a standard non-OD A833 in mine (which also started life with a 3 on the tree) that has been very reliable, and it's really nice to cruise along at 60-65 and ...

Weirdness.
The plot (and apparently the pack) thickens
I wonder if it's because of the 'Cushioned Beam' suspension rework they did starting in '69. These leaves are pretty thin...

Front Leaf Pack question- how many leaves?
Ok, survey time. I'm trying to see how many leaves everybody has over the front axle on their D100's. My '69 D100 has 7 leaves in the front, on a 2500lb axle. Seems like a lot, for a half ton (the rear axle's only got 6 leaves), so I was just curious what everybody else had for a leaf count. Thanks ...
