Re: replacing hydraulic clutch components...
First...thanks to all who offered help. The system is empty. I fill the master cylinder with fluid. The bleeder value on the slave is closed. As I pump the clutch pedal, shouldn't I feel some back pressure/resistance in the clutch pedal at some point/ Shouldn't the fluid level in the master cylinder...

Replacing the clutch system hydraulic components
I asked recently of the forum members if there were any pratfalls to be aware of when changing/replacing the clutch master cylinder and the slave cylinder. I replaced both with new parts I purchased thru eBay. With both components installed, I was unable to create any significant pressure on the sys...

Hydraulic clutch parts replacement
I'm currently in the process of replacing the master and slave cylinders on my 1965 D100. It so far seems pretty straight forward. Are there any pratfalls I should be aware of? For instance, the reproduction service manual I have indicates the clutch pedal spring should be removed. Is it really nece...

Front axle (2WD) disc brake conversion
Hi to all and Happy New Year... I would like to covert my 1965 D100 front drum brakes to disc brakes. Any and all feedback, recommendations, experiences, etc., are welcome. I really love driving it. The single stage brake master cylinder often leaves me feeling like I'm always a split second from a ...

OE size/dog dish style hubcaps...
For a Dodge D100 Utiline, 16 inch OE steel wheel, the diameter of a dog dish style hubcap should be? I see many for sale sometimes listed with the diameter. They seem to range anywhere from 10 to 11 inches... so which is it? I have measured myself, but it's a little difficult to get it measured exac...

Where would be the best place to find and purchase a rear axle differential (drive shaft) input/yoke seal? My Dodge is a two-wheel drive 1965 D100.

Hi...
So, assuming the wheels are 53 years old, how would one know whether or not they have a modern radial tire bead?
And thank you to all who have replied this inquiry.

OEM style16"tires for '65 D100 pickup
I have a set of OEM 16" wheels for my '65 D100 pickup and would love to finally put tires on them and on the truck. Research turns up more questions then correct solutions. For instance, supposedly a modern radial equivalent should not be used on OE rims because that would be unsafe. A solution to t...

Re: And the rest of the oil is where?
Wrong dipstick? If it were only that simply. As I stated, only about three quarts came out and the same amount (only about three quarts) went back in to reach the FULL mark on the dipstick. Although the filter and oil have been "changed" the oil appears to be old as it is still quite black/dirty in ...

And the rest of the oil is where?
I changed (or maybe not) the motor oil AND the oil filter in my '65 D100 with 318 V-8. So I open the drain plug and only about two quarts of oil drains out from the pan, and maybe another quart (or less) comes out with the filter. And yes, PRIOR to beginning this, the dipstick read FULL. Refill requ...

How much oil?
So a 1965 with a 318 V-8 oil AND filter change: the correct amount of oil is ? Maybe it's me but the owners' manual is poorly worded (in my opinion) so is it 5 quarts or six ?

Re: What oil should I use?
Thanks. Anyway, My '65 D100 has a 318 V8 with "solid" lifters (as opposed to hydraulic I assume) so does that make any difference in what type of motor oil I use going forward? And what about the "more zinc" needed for adequate/maximum lubrication/protection argument for older motors? By the way, I ...
