Parking Brake Will Not Release
Need some help. When I disengage my parking brake, the springs don't seem to have enough strength to pull the cable back through and release the brake band from the drum (it's a transfer case mounted parking brake). I've pulled the cable out of the truck and soaked it in evapo-rust to try and make t...

Parking Brake Springs
If anyone has any time to do some measurements for me, I'd appreciate it. My parking brake clamp on my 64 W 200 is not releasing when I release the lever. The cable is moving within the coiled metal sleeve, but not very well. I'm wondering if the two springs on my parking brake clamp behind the tran...

Re: Registering / Inspecting a 64 in Texas
Guys, thanks for the help on this. Hopefully I'll get it registered here in a few weeks and be legal.

Registering / Inspecting a 64 in Texas
Just moved back to Austin, Tx and have to register/pass inspection on my 64. I'm in a county (Travis), that requires emissions, but it looks like I don't have to do the emissions test due to the age of the truck, can anyone confirm that? Does anyone know if registering as a classic or antique affect...

Re: 1964 dodge SWB spare tire carrier
There's a 62-64 SWB in a junk yard here and the spare tire carrier that was on it matches the picture you posted.

Re: 383 RB / NP 435 Dust Cover
And just so I'm clear, by hydraulic I mean it has clutch master cylinder on the firewall, rigid hydraulic line down to the bell housing, and slave cylinder on the bell housing.
Thanks again,
Buddy

Re: 383 RB / NP 435 Dust Cover
Got it,
The truck is a 64, the 383 is a 69, and it's a hydraulic clutch. Thanks to both of you for helping me sort this out, I still have a TON to learn on this thing!
Thanks again,
Buddy

Re: 383 RB / NP 435 Dust Cover
You're right, I think it is on the bell housing. Makes sense that the trans doesn't matter. Motor is a 1969.

383 RB / NP 435 Dust Cover
I need a dust cover for a 383 RB with a 4 speed. First, I think the 4 speed that I have is an NP 435, can anyone tell me a good way to make sure that it is?
Also, anybody have one if I do, in fact have that combo?
Thanks,
Buddy

W200 383 Power Steering Pump Pulley Alignment
I've been working on the Toyota power steering box swap on my 64 W200, I'll post some photos of the installed box, pitman arm, etc. a little later. The truck has 383 that was put together in 1969. The problem is, the power steering pump pulley doesn't line up with the crank pulley. It's off by about...

64 W200 Parking Brake Drum
First time to post on the site, I've been reading a lot and found a lot of good info, so I thought I'd join. I have a 64 W200 short bed. It looks like someone took a section out of the frame to shorten it (116" wheelbase). But looks to me like they did a good job. The parking brake drum is missing t...
