What a difference a bath makes

We scrubbed the heck out the Dodge and waxed it. Can't believe the difference it made! I had forgotten what color it really was.

Re: Division Bar Rubber/Seal

I had the window down and fed them down as far as I could, eventually they got to tight to push because of the window pushing on them. I would then raise the window up 90%. Then I got my arm into the door and with a pair of pliers, gently pulled them down. One was to tight to pull on, that one I fo...

Re: Division Bar Rubber/Seal

Not that difficult if you have the tools to do rivets. But I don't. I've never riveted anything before. Glue will be messier I bet. But will hopefully give me less opportunity to mess it up.

Re: Division Bar Rubber/Seal

You just saved me a whole bunch of frustration! Thanks so much. I have little hands so I'm hoping I can reach in there fairly easily. Did you do the whiskers too? Was it difficult to get them clipped in?

Re: Division Bar Rubber/Seal

Thanks! That helps a ton. I'm going to work on mine this week. Have you replaced the window runs?

Window run installation

Ok guys, I have received all of the window felts for my 62 D-100. Run channels, whiskers, vent window vertical strip. My question is do I need to take out the whole vent window to move the window enough to install the run felts or can I just loosen the run? I have small hands so I think I can get th...

Re: My 62 D-100

Indeed I am a lady who loves her Dodge! No one expects to see a petite little thing driving a big old truck. Maybe that will keep you guys from getting sick of all my silly questions.

Re: My 62 D-100

So does that mean that originally my truck had a single mirror and the west coast ones we're add ons?
Are those mirror base plates worth quite a bit?

Re: My 62 D-100

Which part is that? Is it the one with the 3 bolts that nothing is attached to? I'm not even sure why that's on my truck? There's not one on the other side. Anyone have any idea why it would be there? Were the West Coast mirrors standard?

Re: Division Bar Rubber/Seal

Thanks again Chris. The old one came off pretty easily with a flat head screw driver. I got the replacements from Steele Rubber as well. They fit perfectly! Any idea where I can find those little rivets?

Re: My 62 D-100

Thanks Chris,

I thought it seemed strange that there were so many holes in the hood! I can't even imagine what must have been attached to put that big a dent in the cab roof.

My 62 D-100

Hi, I am new to the site and wanted to introduce myself. I have had my 62 since 2000. I had the original 225 slant 6 engine rebuilt and the radiator replaced and have had to have some other minor things done over the years. Mechanically it is solid. The heater doesn't work, not sure why. The parking...

Re: Division Bar Rubber/Seal

Hi, I am getting ready to attempt this same thing on my 62 D100. What was the verdict on whether or not the frame has to come out? Looks like if I take the glass run weatherstripping out of the run frame on the other side of the wing window vertical post I can access the connector doo-hickies. Then ...
