Update:
So after reading the rest of the comments ( duh) I moved the striker all the way to the interior. Door now closes with the audible "click". But you still need to pull the door handle open to allow for the star wheel to move when being engaged by the striker when closing.

Re: Door adjustment, tighter close

After hanging the door, it swings really smooth and I have adjusted it so it hits the star wheel ok. But now the star wheel will not turn when closing door UNLESS I hold door handle open. ...

Brake light switch
I am looking for a brake light switch for my 66 d100 Sweptline. The part the brake pedal hit was long with 1 spade connection and a plastic 'pump' arm; but everything I am finding now as replacement is a small, squat dual plug-in with no plastic pump. Am I missing something? I found what looks like ...

Reverse switch on dash shifter
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to one and all. So I recently got hold of a complete dash sifter for my 66 Sweptline. My questions is this: on the side of the sifter, when moved into reverse, it looks like a switch is engaged. I am assuming this is for the rear lights. If so, is there any speci...

Re: Radiator options 1968 d200 with 318
Hey guys, Water pump went out on my 66 D100. I pulled the radiator to have more room AND to be sure of not damaging . Inspection has reveled the radiator to be in poor shape so I am looking at replacing. The Champion cc6169 referenced in this post; their web site says the brackets come on the grill ...

Re: loss of all electrial in truck
OK, problem solved. Seem's the hot wire running from the starter relay had gone bad right at a previous butt connector fix. This connector was wrapped and close to dash. no smell of burnt wire; but when pulling the wire harness just so the wire touched and we had power. Looks like sometime in the tr...

66 D100 Sweptline 318: Last night while riding around, when I put on the headlights I heard a load 'pop' noise (like large fuse going bad) and truck hesitated for split second, then kept right on rolling. Headlights were on and so were dash. 10 minutes later as I pulled into driveway i noticed I did...
