Truck is now running great, but need some info re: trans issue. Dash shifter is in park[up] but shifter lever at trans is all the way back- reversed to what I need to hook up the linkage. Therefore when I pull the dash shifter down to run through gears it winds up in first when the trans is in park....

Anybody got a pic of a 383 carb hookup,with the kickdown linkage for an automatic ? I can't remember how the oval slider inside the 2 big metal washers hooks up to the carb and how the connector rod hooks up to the gas pedal arm that comes through the firewall. Seems I'm missing some pieces.

RE: 383 from a car # 2468130-8 LL ND Trans# 261-4 on bell housing. From this should I conclude this was from a 68? Trans also or could that be from the original 318 pkg.?
