I'm figuring on buying whatever I need to do the complete P.S. system This $499 price is only a partial kit and was not the information that was to be released yet. Re: new box power steering

Robertob, thanks for the update. I didn't know you moved to CA! BTW - Do you think the angled arm will be enough to do the trick? I suppose my concern is with different tire sizes and such. :Thumbsup Hello Swewptliners, Release date should be before the end of the year but with SEMA coming up, it h...

Re: new box power steering

Thank you for the links guys. Does anyone have a picture of the stock power steering pump and brackets? The repro stuff will work great for those who dont have power steering already but at the same time we want to be able to accommodate what is already there as well. we are getting close to go full...

Re: new box power steering

Does anyone have a source where they are getting Dodge power steering pumps or brackets? We need to know what kind of fitting is on the back side of the pumps so we can accommidate this with the hoses we will be providing.

Kirk,

I saw that you added 4 degrees of caster. What was your original setting before adding?

Re: new box power steering

Hello Sweptliners, I have been in contact with Kirk and now I will share with you. We are in the R&D stages of the box at this moment which means we have a few prototype boxes that we are installing to determine which is the better fit. The few of you that have already created a bracket and installe...

Re: new box power steering

Hello Kaegi, We appreciate your input. We definitely could engineer a box that used the exact same spines as the Dodge truck box but the reason why we are pursuing this is because we already have a product that with very little additional machining of a bracket, we can adapt to work on a new vehicle...

I am going to pull my master and compare it to the push rod, etc. on the booster. Luckily you can adjust the rod on the master side a bit.

Can you post pictures of the booster brackets from the top view? how long is the push rod and how long are the backets?

Re: Thinking of going with Power Brakes

Wally426CI, The master cylinder internally would have very small differences. Biggest difference between manual and power is the depth of the bore as one is ment to take a deep pushrod and the other is ment to take a shallow rod from the booster. This is an easy fix when going from manual to power. ...

Re: new box power steering

It does fit the stock steering column and rag joint. But then again I am not sure of my cab alignment. I moved it to work today. I also also loosened the steering stops and screwed them all the way in and I still get lock to lock. I ordered new rag joint from rock auto. Ben and BBail I will send yo...

Re: Wandering front end

Hello Jason, To lightly touch on your problems and concerns, Yes it sounds as if you have severe bump steer. When lowered, the drag link will get caught at a bad angle and create binding and sensitivity. a couple things you can do is as you said an adjustable draglink or a shorter pitman arm to get ...
